WIWT: DMONIC INTENT kaftan

I popped by NAKED Empire – The Style Syndicate last weekend, to check out what amazing things they had in stock. They stock stuff from DMONIC INTENT, SYRE, L.S.D. (Little Sister Designs) and Ahoy Cutie to name just a few, and while I was there I tried on a gorgeous “one size fits all” DMONIC INTENT kaftan. I didn’t expect it to fit me, because DMONIC INTENT is a straight size range that goes up to a 14 and I’m obviously much bigger than that, but when the girls urged me to try it on… well.

Pretty fricken cute, right? It just goes to show that sometimes it pays to try things on!

Remember when I wore this kaftan recently and said I liked it but it was way too hot? Well, this DMONIC INTENT one is made of a much lighter fabric (with a more luxe feel) and is something I could easily wear from spring through summer to autumn. It’s super roomy and I have to give the team at DMONIC INTENT credit because when they say “one size fits all” for this garment, it really does!

I decided to add belt to draw in the fabric at my waist, which defines my shape. Long story short, LOVING this. I’m wearing it with long leggings because it’s a bit chilly, but will absolutely wear it bare legged when summer rolls around again.

I’m hoping that DMONIC INTENT make more of these, because I think it’s a simple, chic must-have addition to every wardrobe! If you want one, you should get in touch with them to see if they can make you one – I was lucky enough to be gifted my one, but the retail price was $150 – worth every penny for such a versatile piece from talented New Zealand designers!
