I’m a big fan of Dermalogica‘s products and have talked about them quite a bit on my blog over the last few years. I get really excited when they release new products and the latest Hydrablur Primer is no exception.
I have already shared my review of this product here on the blog (you can read it here and see how it looks on my skin), so I won’t go on about it. Let’s just say it’s bloody amazing and I want you to have the chance to try it for yourself.
Dermalogica has given me three tubes of Hydrablur Primer (valued at $94 each) to give away, so get ready for smooth skin and a flawless finish to your makeup!

Always remove makeup before you go to bed.
Mine is more is less, don’t over do it. Natural for day and more dramatic looks for night. Many girls/women load it on to the point where it is unflattering and can even make you look years older then you need to look. It’s better for your skin too, try and have a couple of make up free days a week or on those days where a very small amount to give your skin a break 🙂 But do have fun and experiment, just find a healthy middle ground!
A damp beauty blender is the best tool to appky foundation to dry skin 🙂
I could use some tips on a good base/primer and contouring!
Always keep hydrated, keeps your skin looking bright & beautiful inside & out.
Don’t be afraid to use colour, it maybe look scary in the tube but completely different once on! If you like it rock it, don’t worry about what others may think. 😊
I have pesky dark under eye circles that I would dearly love to get rid of
Instead of lining your water line with dark eyeliner, use a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye.
This product really does sound awesome! I need help as after having 2 kids & getting older…don’t think my old products or style are cutting it anymore…never was that great anyway
I really want to try this- I’ve recently tried BB cream as I realised there was no way my skin copes with thick foundation anymore. Most days I keep it simple and just put eyeshadow and eyeliner on- my main beauty strength is in maintaining good eyebrows and I neglect the rest, haha.
Clean your skin every night 🙂
a good skincare routine and a good base before applying makeup. Always keep a good packet of makeup claensers or micellar water next to your bed so you don’t ever have an excuse to not remove your makeup before going to sleep 😀
I need help with making my make up last the entire day! I powder when halfway through when my make up starts fading, but it makes me look cakey! Eep!
I need help with dark bags under eyes
I need help applying lipstick, I’m still using tinted lip all because I just get clown lips every single time!
Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise. Though I have super dry skin.
Sunscreen first, all year long and make sure you give it time to be absorbed before you put any make up on
It would be awesome to try a great Dermalogica product, one that I have heard so much about 🙂 THanks for the opportunity, Meagan
A good primer is like your favourite bra. An absolute essential.
Having my makeup stay on while on the dance floor or just at work would be awesome.
My top tip is: Only put foundation where you need it, not all over your face. I learnt this when I was studying beauty therapy many years ago. I have generally very good skin – but when it’s breaking out, it sure makes a difference to only put the foundation on the bad bits. Gives the rest of your face time to breathe.
Have run out of current primer so would love to try this one
I’ve learnt to put my moisturiser on then walk away for 10 minutes, then apply my make up, it seems to blend in better
I wish I knew what REALLY gets rid of blackheads/blocked pores. My nose is covered
Less is always more! Coming into an NZ sticky humid summer, if you can get away with a little concealer (on top of primer) and translucent powder on your t-zone, you’ll be much happier than with a face full of foundation.
Actually remembering to moisturise!
Make sure you have decent lighting when putting on makeup. I lesson I learn just recently, bulb had broken, carried on doing makeup, got into natural light and it looked terrible, went back inside and fixed it lol.
I really need to go up date my make up skills – what a lovely gift to win 🙂
I don’t wear makeup often (I don’t actually have any at the moment) so I pretty much need help with everything!!
Need help with reducing redness!
Hey Vanessa, this isn’t the best primer for reducing redness – I would recommend Dermalogica’s redness relief primer for you. I’ve used it and so has my mom and it does a great job of neutralising that redness xx
Coconut oil to take your eye make up off, so easy and gentle!
Get a great brow shape, tint and lash tint…….then you only need a bb cream and a lippy and you are good to go!
My top tip would be to own a few top quality products you love. The rest you can fake.
Never under estimate the power of a good mascara. Even if you have sparse lashes a good mascara makes all the difference and really helps complete a look whether its natural or bold. I never feel made up without mascara.. Its such a feel good cosmetic!
Mine is to fill in your brows. Few people have amazing brows naturally, so most people benefit from even a little help!
Oooo this actually sounds amazing! Primer is the best – so helps with keeping makeup long lasting, especially in the hot summer
The best thing that works for me is using a CC cream as a primer under foundation gives me a much better finish than without, and it has sunscreen in it too for these hot days 😊
My top tip is to use a good primer…but I still haven’t found the perfect one yet! 🙂
Check your foundation blending in the mirror in the car, it shows up any patches really well 🙂
I need help with applying eye shadow it always looks shocking!
I have never tried Dermalogica. But I really want to I love makeup with skincare benefits which is why my serum foundation is so expensive. Thanks for the chance to win this.
My top tip is invest in a few good quality makeup products that you will use everyday and not handfuls of cheap products you will only use a few times, you’ll save on money and space and you can buy products that make your skin look amazing and last throughout the day plus some that have skincare benefits.
I can not second this enough!!!
Mastering liquid eye liner!
I’m a big fan of Dermalogica especially the daily microfoliant! I need to work on my eyeliner game 🙂
If you leave your blusher at home use a bit of your lipstick to contour your cheeks 🙂
I need help with a step by step guide to every day make up. I love make up but I’m not confident using it.
I need help with how to apply eye make up, like a guide for dummies! HAHA!
I haven’t tried primer yet bc of the cost but really want to. My fav tip is moisturise before applying foundation 🙂
Love your review on the Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer. I always use Primer underneath my foundation to get that beautiful finish. I am also a big fan of Dermalogica and would love to try this Primer. 🙂
Wow – these primers look amazing. I’ve heard really good feedback about them.
Always moisturise or use a primer before applying foundation for a more even and smoother application
Primer & Setting spray = no melting make up during summer!
I need a more dramatic look for going out in the evening
My tip for make up is to keep your skin primed well. That is with moisturiser, primer and concealer. Then foundation sits so much better. Thank you Megan
Sounds great!!
I think i need help applying foundation properly 🙂 I either end up looking like a cakey mess or I smear it just about everywhere 🙂 I would love to be in the draw to win a Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer to apply as a base.
It might be the method you use to apply it babe! I got a new brush and it changed my makeup game – check it out here.
I need help with uneven skin tone – I have pigmentation and blotchiness! This sounds divine!
My top makeup tip is to keep it simple. I wear glasses so there isn’t much point to getting s lot of makeup on the eyes. I find if I get those brows on fleek and layer up the mascara I have a pretty look that my glasses don’t overpower!!
All items are delish… any skin product a bonus to anyone 🙂 x
Would love to win this sounds fab! I really dislike my large pores and sounds like this would really help! 🙂
YAS – I am also a massive fan of Dermalogica but haven’t tried this! Would love to give it a go :). I need help with learning how to do liquid eye liner. I think in the new year I’m going to treat myself to a few make up lessons!
I’m still trying to master liquid liner too – I can never get it looking amazing!
Eyebrows, I need eyebrow help! I have such fair eyebrows and pencil and powder them in, sometimes they look great and sometimes they look shocking. How do you get them looking consistently fab?
I get mine tinted to make them darker and avoid product as much as I can. When I do use product I use it sparingly.
Wow, your skin looks amazing in the review! I don’t really have any make up tops, I never feel like I am very good at make up! I need help with finding a concealer that covers my blemishes for the whole day – Maybe this primer underneath would help that??
I never use concealer but I have just bought one so will see how it goes…
I’m yet to conquer contouring! The videos make it look so easy!
I’m with you Marissa, it’s on my list of things to learn…
Would love this….have heard great things about it! 🙂
Powder UNDER liquid foundation… I know it sounds crazy but trust me it works.
Always take your makeup off at night! A oldie but so true or I end up with a face like a teenager :/
Definitely need something to even out my complexion. The sun, age and illness have not been kind
I agree primer is the best- perfect to get that smooth base and lasting finish
My top makeup tip is to seek trusted professional advice – the cosmeticians are trained and their expertise offers you what suits you, their observations are unbiased and they know their products!
Thanks Meagan. You are giving out some really nice prizes for Xmas.
You are more than welcome – it’s a great way for me to be able to say thanks to my lovely readers for all your support!
