Where to buy plus size menswear

Okay team, let’s talk plus size menswear. Whether you’re big or tall or both, in the past it has been hard as a masc dresser to find clothes. My boyfriend Doug is 6’3″ and a big dude, so over the years we’ve discovered a few places (both in New Zealand and online) that have some great options up to a 9XL.

ASOS

ASOS is has a pretty good selection of big and tall menswear with everything from suits, to outerwear, to everyday casual clothes. Brands include ASOS Design, Burton Menswear, Calvin Klein, Duke, Polo Ralph Lauren and more. Sizes range from XXS to 7XL, up to 54″ waist and shoes in size 6 – 15 including wide fit options.

BoohooMAN

Y’all probably already know about boohoo, but did you know they do menswear? Their plus size menswear range boohooMAN includes lots of casual options (including denim and swimwear). Sizes range from XS to 5XL, up to 46″ waist and footwear in sizes 5-11.

Johnny Bigg*

Johnny Bigg is probably my favourite plus size menswear brand – they’re fashion forward and have options for basically every occasion. We have bought a number of pieces over the years and Doug looks amazing in all of them! Sizes range from XL-9XL with tall options, up to 54″ waist, as well as shoe sizes 9-16.

Tarocash*

Tarocash has a great range of formalwear, workwear and dressy looks. If you’re looking for clothes for a special event, this is a great place to find them. Their sizes range from XS-5XL, up to 44″ waist, as well as footwear in sizes 6-13.

Bad Rhino: Up to size 8XL with tall options and 60″ waist. Everything from denim to swimwear, casual to suiting.
Begg’s Big Mens Clothing*: Up to size 8XL with tall options and shoe sizes 10-16. A good selection of casual, business and formalwear.
Big Man Clothing*: Size 2XL-9XL. Everything from socks and undies to suits and ties plus a good range of casual wear.
Destination XL: Up to size 8XL and 72″ waist as well as shoe sizes 10-18, widths to 6E. Brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and Levi’s.
Dickies*: Size S-5XL and up to 54″ waist. Streetwear and classic Dickies work wear. Limited online but more in store.

Old Navy: Up to size 3XL and 48″ waist, with some tall options. A good range of casual and dressy options.
The Iconic: Up to size size 6XL and 46″ waist. A good range of casual and dressy options plus beach gear, brands include Burton Menswear, Polo Ralph Lauren, Staple Superior and Tommy Hilfiger.
The Warehouse*: Up to size 6XL. Brands include Anthem, Basics Brand, Bisley Workwear, Garage, H&H, Rivet and activewear brand Active Intent.
