In New Zealand, most retailers that stock plus sizes end at a size 24. But what do you do if you need a bigger size? I’ve had a few people asking me lately where to buy plus size clothes in a size 26 and up, so I’ve searched out a few places that look promising.
Yours Clothing
Yours Clothing has an amazing selection of everything from tops to dresses to jeans to shoes to accessories. Their sizes range from US 12-34, which is 16-38 in New Zealand sizing. I’ve purchased a few things from Yours Clothing and can definitely recommend their clothes (like this maxi and this parka). They have some of the quickest shipping of any online store I’ve ordered from – to get your order from the UK to NZ usually takes less than a week. Shipping isn’t free but it’s pretty reasonable and totally worth it.
Cato Fashions
I’ve never shopped with Cato Fashions before, but found them when I was on the hunt for denim and was very impressed to see that they range in size from US 2-36W (that’s 6-40 in New Zealand). I think this is one of the broadest ranges of sizing I’ve ever come across and I wish that more retailers would offer such choice! They only ship within the US and Canada, so for anywhere else you’ll need to use a a forwarding service like YouShop or Shipitto.
Swimsuits 4 All
With summer fast approaching, Swimsuits For All is definitely a “need to know” place. With tankinis, bikinis, swim dresses, one pieces and separates, from size US 8-34 (NZ 12-38), they’ve got loads of options.
Old Navy
I have so many friends that swear by Old Navy! And I’m not surprised, their clothes look really nice and are the perfect combination of fashion and classic style. They have sizes US 0-30/XS-4X (NZ 4-34), and they ship to NZ, woohoo! And just a heads up, you can shop for the whole family there – they have kids and menswear as well as maternity clothing.
Sealed With A Kiss Designs
Listen up lovelies, SWAK is definitely one you want to know about. Their clothes are fashion forward and they have a bridal collection. So whether you’re looking for something for everyday or that special day, make sure you check them out (my wishlist is a mile long!). They drop new releases weekly and stock US sizes 14-36 (NZ 18-40).
Igigi
Another place with everything from bridal to everyday is Igigi. They have sizes US 12-32 (NZ 16-36) and have some pretty sweet sale bargains… Shipping to NZ is quite pricey, but if you find something you love then it could be well worth it.
Kiyonna
I’m sure you’ve probably heard of Kiyonna – they’re well known for their wrap dresses but do have a lot of other great styles as well (including bridal and swimwear). Their sizes range from US 10-32 (NZ 14-36) and they have a handy size chart that compares their sizes to other plus size clothing brands which will make it easier to find your Kiyonna size.

If you know of any other great places to find plus size clothing over a size 26 in NZ or overseas, let me know about them in the comments below!
TS14 has a Discount Outlet Shop@Mangere Airport Shopping Centre…,
Yes they do – I’ve mentioned them in my post about plus size outlet stores in Auckland. Unfortunately they only do sizes 12-24 so not suitable for size 26+.
ASOS is another one with great plus sizes; and free shipping to NZ
Love ASOS, they have some great stuff!
http://www.mysize.com.au says they go to an Australian 26 (NZ 28), but I find their clothing to be generous fitting and long lasting at reasonable prices (almost worth a weekend trip to Melbourne- their clearance shop is fantastic and the staff are lovely)
Great to know Kat. NZ and Aus sizing is generally the same BTW, but I think My Size is much more generously cut in the bust and hip than a lot of other brands
Great site thank you
Hi Megan thanks for your finds on larger sizing stores/sites, are there any stores anywhete in Auckland NZ?. Don”t really like Ezibuy etc, like to walk into stores and view, Thanks for your help
Hi Soni, there are not a lot of brick and mortar stores that cater to a size 26+ in Auckland, but I know that The Warehouse’s Kate Madison range goes up to a size 28 (and they have some gorgeous pieces this season). Also might be worth checking out some of the boutiques like The Carpenter’s Daughter and Zebrano – I know that some of the brands they stock are cut to fit looser so can be worn by larger sizes (Lost and Led Astray is a fave of mine and stocked at both places).
In NZ there is TS14/AUTOGRAPH…….TS14 has regular shops but also has a Discount Warehouse@Airport Shopping Centre@Mangere….
Thanks Kaaran, as I mentioned in my reply to you yesterday, Taking Shape goes up to a size 24 and while Autograph goes up to a 30, as I’ve mentioned in my post the options over a size 26 are very limited (for example, there are currently three styles available in size 28 + 30).
Hi Meagan – what a useful site, thanks. I’m a youthful 70, size 24-26, and looking for a longish, light-weight summer dress with short sleeves. I don’t like the body-hug look. Have you seen anything like that recently? Thanks!
Hi June, check out EziBuy, they’ve got a pretty good selection at the moment!
Morning, firstly I love your directory and will definitely use it in the future…I am trying to find a bathrobe for my partner in pink or something other than male drab blue….would you happen to know of anywhere that sells plus size bath robes…she is a size 28-30.
Thanks Gina! I found a couple of robes on Yours Clothing – I hope they’re what you’re looking for! x
Dale and Water in Perth ahs online sales
Thanks Carol, I’ll add them in! xo
This is such a great list and resource, I’m sharing it on my fb page right meow!!
Thanks Margot! I hope it helps one of your readers! xo
I think it will. This truly is a handy resource! 💘
In NZ there is Long Island who go up to size 30. They have a store in Christchurch and do mail/internet orders.
Also, Ezibuy’s plus size range has some larger sizes 26/28
Great, thanks Irene! I’ve added Long Island to the list (for some reason I thought they’d closed down!). I won’t add EziBuy though, because they don’t really offer a lot over a size 26 (they are in my main shopping directory though) xo
I think they might have closed down a few years ago but new owners took over a while later. (I know the owners changed, not entirely sure about the closing down part.)
Maybe when they changed over their website came down, and that’s what made me think that. Glad they’re up and running – thanks so much for the heads up! xo
Long Island went into receivership in 2012.
New owners, Wendy and Peter, purchased the brand name and patterns in 2014.
They manufacture everyday clothes in Christchurch and sell through the online store updating it regularly.
Thanks Wendy, great to hear that you have revived Long Island 👍
For sportswear there is also http://www.femaleforlife.com. they are aussie based but postage is reasonable to nz and their quality is ace!
Thanks Melanie! They only go up to a size 24 so not really suitable for this list but I’ll add them to my directory 🙂
So bookmarking this 😀
Rad, thanks Serafina xo
