Racing season is upon us, and if you’re planning on attending any of the events over the next six months then you will need to be well dressed! A certain standard of dress is expected (you can read the dress code for Ellerslie here), and if you’ve never been before then it can be quite daunting trying to figure out what to wear to the races – but never fear, I’ve found some great frocks that will have you race ready in no time…
It’s spring, so the floral dresses are out in full force! While you don’t have to go for a floral look, it does say “spring time” like nothing else.

A bright pop of colour is fabulous for spring! Make sure that you pair it with neutral tones so that it doesn’t end up looking garish – black is perfect with this City Chic dress as the design features this neutral shade.

Cobalt blue is one of this season’s most stand-out colours. It’s bright, electric and fresh, making it perfect for spring or summer.

I love the illusion of a two piece outfit with this dress – the belt and peplum break up the outfit and are a great addition if you are less curvy and want to emphasise your waist.

It doesn’t have to be all florals and bright colours at race day! I love this monochromatic check dress – perfect with black and white accessories, a statement fascinator and a bold red lip.
