The Very Vintage Day Out 2014 was a very different experience for me this year, I think because I went with friends instead of going by myself. Everything is always infinitely more fun with friends! I’ve got loads of pictures for you this year, and very few words (for a change), so let’s kick off…

Hair by Claire at the Pamper Parlour, nails by Penny at Monaco Nails & Beauty, lipstick by Bang Cosmetics
First up, I had my hair done at the Pamper Parlour and my nails done by the lovely Penny from Monaco Nails & Beauty. I’ve never been able to master the pin up look on my own, so being able to turn up and have wonderful women taking care of that for me was so nice! I also picked up some new lipstick from Bang Cosmetics – it’s called Uptown, it’s cruelty free and made in New Zealand – get your hands on some of this because it’s so good!

With hair and makeup sorted, it was time to check out the stalls and the car display…

Then we found an essential New Zealand icon! Who remembers summer holidays with the whole family jammed in a small caravan?

Okay, now I need to share some super cute photos, a couple of my favourites from the day…

Amber McCoy – the cutest babe I know!

Seriously, Adam Venables and Pieta Heynen. Just stop with your adorableness already!!!
We all agreed that it was awesome to have a day where there were so many people dressed up and celebrating all things vintage! I can’t wait for next year’s Very Vintage Day Out, will you be there?

i love Amber McCoy dress i would love one of these but can not seem to find any in big sizes , lovely photos on a great day ladies all looking great and stunning 🙂
Hey Nina, Hell Bunny dresses go up to a 4XL. Maybe contact them to find a stockist near you?
Looks awesome! 40s + 50s fashion is so suited to us plus size girls! x
I agree Michelle, it definitely makes a difference to look at clothes that were made in a time when curvier bodies were considered fashionable, compared the some of the more recent styles that are made with tall, slim women in mind! xo
Looks like an awesome day out 🙂 We have an annual car show in Pottsville, PA…..but it’s nothing like some of the other shows I see posted online. Still nice to see the pretty cars 🙂
We have other car shows and events here too, but I haven’t been to any since I was a kid. There’s something called the Beach Hop which sounds super fun, but I’ve never been able to make it along…
so super jealous depending on what I’m doing next year I hope to come! you all look so babe’n!
Yes, you so have to come next year! xo
