As soon as my latest purchase from Yours Clothing arrived, I’ve been waiting for the weather to get warm enough (anywhere over freezing is fine!) for me to wear it. This maxi dress has been on my lust list for so long and I can’t wait for summer to arrive so I can wear it all the time (because let’s be honest, maxi dresses and temperatures below 10ºC really don’t go together). For a brief moment though, I thought I’d channel my inner witchy woman, inspired by Misty Day from American Horror Story and Stevie Nicks. View Post
Spot on
While I’m a stripes girl through and through, when I look in my wardrobe I realised that I’ve got a bit of a secret love for polka dots. Those spots have snuck in to my life – on my makeup bag, on my onesie, and on my clothes, and I have to say that I’m a fan! It started out with small spots, but now I’m going for big, bold contrasting spots. View Post
12 plus size sweaters to keep you warm this winter
When I got up this morning, it was 1ºC. That’s not really a temperature that I operate well at (who does, really?), and it made me acutely aware that I don’t own any sweaters. After my closet sale and donating a whole lot of clothes, shoes and beauty products to women who needed them more than I do … I’m going to have to do a bit of shopping to find something warm and snuggly. Leopard Print Love
Leopard print is one of those timeless autumn/winter prints, and apparently it’s considered a neutral. I’m not so sure leopard print is really in the same league as navy, black and grey (although perhaps it depends on the type of leopard print?!), but as it is a fashion fave for so many people, perhaps it’s time to let a little leopard slink into my wardrobe!
What to wear to a summer BBQ
Brought to you by Long White Vodka
There’s nothing quite like summer in New Zealand. Scorching hot days (preferably spent at the beach), lots of swimming, time spent with friends and family – and the many many BBQs that summer inevitably brings!
