For some bizarre reason, I’ve had a few people ask me to film a makeup tutorial showing what I use and how I apply it. I’m well known for being fairly average at makeup, so I can only assume these people are also cosmetics novices or they’re having a laugh. Hopefully option A, because I’ve filmed an “easy makeup for beginners” video. If it’s option B – feel free to have a laugh at how basic this is, because honestly this is as good as I’m gonna get and I’m okay with that. View Post
Seated Sun Salutation
I first started doing yoga when I was studying and working full time, because I needed an outlet to help my mind and body relax. When a friend took me along to a yoga class, I was really nervous – I was a beginner, I was fat and I’d never done yoga before. What if I couldn’t contort my body into the amazing poses I saw people doing? What if I was clumsy when everyone else was graceful? What if people stared at me? View Post
How to tie a scarf
I don’t wear a lot of accessories – I like to keep things simple and most of the time I just wear stud earrings and a watch. When it’s a bit chilly or I want to add a pop of colour to my outfit, I go for scarves. My go to is one of the many infinity loop scarves I have (my favourite at the moment is this orange one from Farmers) – it’s so easy to throw on and go, as well as being super soft. However, I do have quite a few flat scarves, so I thought I’d share three different ways to tie a scarf. View Post
My secret to flawless foundation
All my adult life, I’ve wondered how the heck women get that gorgeous smooth look to their skin when they apply makeup. You know, the kind that looks like you’ve had your makeup done by a team of professionals. I’ve tried countless foundations (easily more than 50) in an attempt to find the holy grail that would give me this magical angel skin. I’ve applied it with brushes, used a sponge, tried my fingertips, and do you think I could master it? No freaking chance! Until now – now I have mastered the secret to flawless foundation! View Post
