My favourite place to be is always near the ocean. Whether I’m at home in Auckland, in my hometown of Gisborne, or travelling about something always brings me back to water. It’s really no surprise that my favourite places in Auckland happen to be near the water. I took advantage of a spot of sunshine in what was a very cold windy weekend to head down and look at my city from across the harbour – and of course I had to go for a bit of a nautical theme with my outfit. I’m pretty picky when it comes to flowers – I know what I like (peonies, hydrangeas, vintage roses and amaryllis, for the record) and what I don’t (carnations, most chrysanthemums and most lilies). The same goes for florals in fashion – I’m either all in or all out and I think I might have … maybe four? floral pieces in my wardrobe (two of them are made from the same fabric).
