I have developed a mistrust of cardigans. Sounds a bit weird, I know, but bear with me. I’ve been cleaning out my closet recently, and one of the things I seem to have an abundance of is black cardigans. It got me thinking about how I ended up with so many items of clothing that pretty much look the same, and I realised that they were a carry over from the days when I thought that my arms had to be covered at all times because holy shit, what if someone saw my jiggly arms and realised I was fat? Country girl
I am a city girl now, but when I was a kid we moved to the country. We had a small farm with cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and bees; I went to a very very small school (there were less than 30 people in my whole school); there were no footpaths anywhere near our place, or public transport. Actually, in the nearest town, public transport didn’t exist either. Welcome to the back of beyond. View Post
Keep calm and carry on
Brought to you by Warehouse Money
My trip to Melbourne is just around the corner (I fly out this weekend), and now that I have my travel plans sorted it is time to think about what I’m packing. Clothes are pretty easy, I planned my outfits as soon as I knew for sure that I was going (which might sound excessive but I was doing a wardrobe clearout and wanted to make sure I had all the things I wanted to wear squirrelled away safely). What’s important to me is what goes in my carry on bags – the bits and pieces I will have to keep my comfortable and entertained for my flight. View Post
Kate Madison Jeans
You have probably noticed that I’ve been wearing jeans a lot over the last few months (well, if you’re following me on Instagram you will have noticed), and that’s because it’s cold and jeans are easy. I know I’m not the only one who rocks the jeans and tee look on the regular! View Post
Wine time
If there is one colour that has made it’s way into my wardrobe this winter, it is wine (or marsala, maroon or burgundy, depending on what store you are shopping at). It’s a warm cosy colour that is perfect for the cooler months and if you are a fan of a darker palette for your wardrobe (hello, me), it works really well with your black, grey, camel and navy neutrals!
