I’ve always struggled with casual outfits, because I believed for so I long that as a fat woman I had to put more effort into my appearance than smaller women do, and I thought that casual was too casual so I ended up way overdressed a lot of the time. When a thin woman wears sweatpants and has her hair in a messy bun, she’s cute and relaxed. When a fat woman does the same she is seen as lazy and like she doesn’t care about her appearance. I know right, what the heck? View Post
On Turning 33
This is me at 33. No makeup, no photoshop, no filter, just me – wrinkled eyes, tired smile and striped dress. I think it’s important to take note of ourselves, what we look like and how we are. Jeans, a tee and a khaki jacket is a pretty classic outfit, a great go to when you’re after something casual but still put together. The Fat Unicorn Dress
When I was at Melbourne Fashion Week Plus, I absolutely loved the purple fat unicorn dress that Joolz Fashion sent down the runway and I was super stoked when I found out that this awesome print is also available in black (aka the basis of my wardrobe). It seriously gives me life – how can anyone resist a chubby rainbow unicorn? I mean, honestly. View Post
