I’m sure I’ve said this before, but as a photographer and a plus size woman, I really appreciate a good fashion editorial. You see them on the pages of glossy magazines, but very rarely do they contain plus size women. That’s one of the reasons I really love 17 Sundays’ lookbooks – because they always deliver the goods. Snuggly roll neck sweater
There’s something about cool weather that just makes me want to snuggle up in jumpers, whether it’s the middle of winter or the cold snaps we get in autumn and spring. Since I started watching Shaaanxo’s vlogs, I noticed that she wears a lot of high roll neck sweaters, and that’s exactly the kind of thing I needed for snuggling up in! View Post
First Look: Harlow SS15
You already know how much I love Harlow – I have loads of their pieces in my wardrobe and every season I’m left swooning over their latest collection. This season is no different – Harlow SS15 has their classic rock vibe with the monochromatic looks they’re known for, and I’m super excited to be able to share a few of my favourites with you.
Rainy Day
Spring is finally on the horizon and with it, more rain. Unlike the rain we get in winter, this is a bit different. It’s somehow not as cold and hold the promise of growth and new life. It makes the spring bulbs bloom and blossoms appear on trees, and it can catch you unawares. When it’s starting to warm up, I don’t want to be wearing heaps of clothes and a heavy coat, so I invested in a light parka in case of a rainy day. View Post
First Look: Chocolat SS16
Last week I popped over to High Society’s Auckland headquarters to meet the team (including amazing designer and fellow Gisborne gal Sheryl May) and check out the new season looks for Chocolat, their plus size range. You might have seen me wearing Chocolat before, but I think that this season’s collection “High Spirits” is better than ever so I thought I’d give you a wee peek at some of my favourites. These would definitely be investment pieces for me because they’re great quality high fashion pieces, and I know I’d get a lot of wear out of them. View Post
