When I decided to make my beauty routine cruelty free, I was seriously unimpressed by the fact that there were no cruelty free haircare options available from my local supermarket. While I don’t mind spending a little bit more on products that I know aren’t tested on animals, the price difference between salon products and supermarket brands can be a bit of a strain on my wallet. Sometimes when I’m wearing a figure hugging dress, I want to be able to smooth out my silhouette a bit so you can’t see my underwear or bra line. My usual reaction to shapewear is “nope, GTFO”, because it’s not necessary and I’m not gonna be uncomfortable just so you can’t see a bit of chub, but I spied this slip from Danish brand Zhenzi on the Navabi website and I’ve never tried shapewear in a slip form so I figured it was worth trying out.
