Over the weekend I went along to the Lovely Larger Ladies NZ fashion event – a plus size fashion show that we have been really hanging out for here in New Zealand. View Post
Simple spring style
As the weather starts to warm up and we can finally start peeling off all the layers of clothing we’ve worn over winter, my spring style gets scaled wayyyy back and my wardrobe gets super basic. Maxi dresses, simple singlet and skirt combos… I like to keep it easy and then layer up if it’s a bit chilly. View Post
Do Your Thing
I see comments on social media and in my inbox every day where women of all ages, sizes and backgrounds are saying things like “I wish I had her confidence” and “I wish I could do that”. So many people are dealing with body issues and think they can’t live their life to fullest until they’re thinner, fitter, more successful… but the reality is that you might be letting these things hold you back from living life now. Boho Luxe: 1 item 4 ways
This post was brought to you by Farmers
In case you hadn’t noticed, there is a distinct 70’s vibe to fashion at the moment. Forget the bell bottoms though, this is a more refined look – it’s boho luxe inspired with more modern shapes, making it really easy to work those trend pieces into what you’ve already got in your wardrobe. One of my favourite new finds is this lace top, so I thought I’d show you how I style it in with some of the style staples that I already have. View Post
Florals and leaves
Spring is here, and with it comes florals. There are new flowers blooming (and if you live somewhere like me where the wind is unpredictable, they are also scattered all over the ground), and floral prints are hitting shop floors as well. Florals don’t have to mean small Laura Ashley prints – they can be as big, bold and abstract as you want – and in my case, yes you can wear florals on a black background.
