I popped by NAKED Empire – The Style Syndicate last weekend, to check out what amazing things they had in stock. They stock stuff from DMONIC INTENT, SYRE, L.S.D. (Little Sister Designs) and Ahoy Cutie to name just a few, and while I was there I tried on a gorgeous “one size fits all” DMONIC INTENT kaftan. I didn’t expect it to fit me, because DMONIC INTENT is a straight size range that goes up to a 14 and I’m obviously much bigger than that, but when the girls urged me to try it on… well.
WIWT: Tee Shirt Dress
The company I’m working for has been office-less for the last few months, with everyone working from home while we hunt for the perfect office space. We finally found it, and moved in last weekend. No longer can I work from home in short shorts and a tank or my pyjamas, I get to actually get dressed and see other people (okay, I may have been going a little stir crazy…)!

I read a lot of articles when I was at uni about the wearing of black in Kiwi culture, including Doris De Pont’s Black: History of Black in Fashion, Society and Culture in New Zealand, which is well worth a read if you can get your hands on a copy. I’ve always loved wearing black, and as New Zealanders we wear a lot of it, so I thought I’d offer up some of my favourite basic black pieces for the upcoming autumn/winter season.
17 Sundays Afterglow A/W 2014
Heads up, my fashion forward friends! 17 Sundays, one of my favourite clothing brands, has just released the lookbook for Afterglow, their autumn/winter 2014 collection. It’s a goodie, so you’re going to want to pay attention…

In my journey to body positivity, I’ve been inspired by many people – Tess Munster, Honor Curves and Natalie Drue to name a few. But it was someone closer to home that started me on my self love journey. View Post
