If there is one colour that has made it’s way into my wardrobe this winter, it is wine (or marsala, maroon or burgundy, depending on what store you are shopping at). It’s a warm cosy colour that is perfect for the cooler months and if you are a fan of a darker palette for your wardrobe (hello, me), it works really well with your black, grey, camel and navy neutrals! Winter layers
As much as I’ve complained about the cold lately, even I have to admit that winter has been pretty mild so far. To be having 17ºC most days in winter is really unusual, it’s more autumnal than wintery, so I’ve been piling on the winter layers but still trying to look cute. View Post
Winter Queen
It’s Queen’s Birthday weekend and I thought that this was a great reason to break out my tutu and fur capelet (like I even need an excuse!). It’s gotten really cold over the last week, with the winter weather arriving promptly on the first of June. View Post

Print princess
Monochrome prints will always be my favourite – now that my wardrobe has returned to a darker palette, I find that basic black and white prints go with all of my basics, as well as any coloured accessories I might be rocking. If you’re new to the world of prints and patterns then black and white is a great place to start. View Post
Amongst the flowers
One of my favourite places to visit is the Auckland Winter Gardens – it’s always beautiful in there (and warm inside the glasshouses) and there are ever changing displays to enjoy as you stroll around the gardens. It’s the perfect spot to visit when the weather is a bit average but you want to get out and take walk, because most of it is undercover. View Post
