I’ve been in Rotorua over the last week for the Crankworx mountain biking festival, and decided to channel my inner mountain bike babe in skinny jeans, flannel checks and a flat cap. It’s a style that’s a little bit different from my usual girly look, but it really got me in the mood for wearing more checks this autumn and winter. And more flannel. And a cap. Oh dear, what’s happening to me?
Head to Toe Black
When I was growing up, films told me that black clothing was mysterious, elegant, sultry… There’s a certain seductive quality about a woman dressed in head to toe black – it reminds us of on screen sirens, tales of temptresses and all things spooky.
Aussie Curves: Military
As much as I wanted to don one of my many navy dresses this week, I resisted the urge as I figure that you’ve probably seen enough of them and want to see something new.
WIWT: Plus size fashion for a windy autumn day
I just spent an amazing weekend in Wellington (which is the capital city of New Zealand, for all of my overseas readers who don’t know much about the country I live in), where I got to celebrate plus size fashion, meet some great new people, catch up with old friends, eat delicious food, attend Wellington Fashion Week and photograph some gorgeous women for my Fat Girls Shouldn’t Wear Stripes project. More about that later though – first I wanted to share this outfit with you because I am so in love with this skirt! View Post

“When I go, I go balls-deep. In the morning I say to myself: “Self, if you’re going to ‘do’ today, then FUCKING DO today!” So when I need to put on clothes, then I go hard core and I FUCKING PUT ON CLOTHES! I find a massive surge in self-motivation when I get dressed properly. When I put in the effort to totally master my day, I am empowered. View Post
