I was really excited when I heard that Skintopia was opening up in Auckland, because I’ve heard a lot of great feedback about their Wellington location. Like other Dermalogica skin centres, I know they’re focused on getting great results for your skin rather than just pampering. This is exactly what my skin needs! I’ve been a Dermalogica skincare user for many years now, and started getting regular professional treatments to help keep on top of my skin health. People often ask me about the best place to get a facial in Auckland city, so when the Skintopia team invited me in to experience a treatment, I jumped at the chance to review them. View Post
My Skincare Routine | Dry + Sensitive Skin
It’s been a while since I last talked about my skincare routine, and lots of things have changed since then so it’s time for an update. My skin is often dry and sensitive (and even more so when the seasons are changing or I’m traveling a lot), so I’ve learned to stick with what works and not change products too often. It’s all cruelty free, and all of these are things I’ve been using for a while unless otherwise mentioned. View Post

Double Cleansing
When you wash your face, how well are you actually cleaning it? I remember in my teens and early twenties, that I would wash off my makeup and still wake up with panda eyes. Or sometimes, not wash my makeup off at all… I know, naughty. When I did wash my face, it was only a vague attempt with a makeup wipe or a quick scrub with a face cloth. Drunk early 20’s Meagan just wanted to fall into bed, she didn’t care about cleaning her makeup off!
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that I actually need to take care of my skin. Part of that is making sure I clean it (properly). I was introduced to double cleansing in my 30’s, and I haven’t looked back. View Post

Dealing with stress
Brought to you by Dermalogica
Everyone has some kind of stress in their lives – it might be studying for exams, a new baby, having a looming deadline, a big event coming up … it looks different for all of us. At the moment, my main form of stress centres around being unwell and my recent surgery – pretty unsurprising, really.
For me, stress shows up in a few ways. I feel exhausted but find it hard to sleep; I find it really difficult to focus; I start burning the candle at both ends; I snap at people around me; my skin breaks out and it also affects my appetite. Obviously not ideal! Dermalogica launched their new Stress Positive Eye Lift recently and it got me thinking about how I react to stress. I wanted to share how I make sure I’m looking after myself when I am going through a stressful time, and give you a chance to try out some of that Stress Positive Eye Lift for yourself. View Post
Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant Review + Giveaway
Brought to you by Dermalogica
I’ve been fizzing ever since I saw Dermalogica launch their Daily Superfoliant in the US a few months ago, because I really enjoy exfoliating my face. I know that might sound strange, but I’ve always loved it because it leaves my skin feeling cleaner and fresher, and looking brighter. Anyway, I waited for months to try the Daily Superfoliant, and because Dermalogica is one of my amazing blog partners I got the chance to try it out for a few weeks before it hit the shelves here! It’s being released in New Zealand today, so I wanted to share my thoughts on it and give you the chance to try it for yourself (yeah babe, that means there’s going to be a giveaway!). View Post
