There are a lot of pieces in my wardrobe that I really like – you know the kind, the ones you can wear anywhere, are super versatile and can be mixed and matched with other pieces, that make you feel fabulous as soon as you put them on? There is one that stands out for me though, and I’m sure you’ve seen it on me quite a lot over the last couple of years (here, here and here for example).
I had to do a spot of research for “Hipster” week, and I guess I loosely fit this definition already: I wear black rimmed glasses, I prefer to listen to my music on vinyl, my hair is undeniably casual, I use a Polaroid and other old film cameras, I have an arts degree and am a prolific user of Instagram…

Boohoo.com got in touch with me recently, and invited me to join in a game of Wardrobe Bingo! Fashion should be fun, and this is a wonderful way of both giving you a sneak peek inside my closet and pairing up clothes that I might not usually put together.
This is how it works:
First, I picked 5 items of clothing for each part of my body – 5 items of footwear, 5 accessories, then 5 tops and 5 bottoms. Then I numbered each item in each category from 1 to 5, and randomly picked numbers to put together my final outfit, mashed up from different styles and clothes from my wardrobe!
This week’s Aussie Curves theme was Colour Clash, so I was forced to banish all my black clothes to the wardrobe and reach for the colour – not something I have much of (especially bright colours!).
Fortunately, I managed to find some red and purple in my closet. That clashes quite well, don’t you think? So bright! View Post
