Being Fat and Fabulous
Someone made a comment to me recently that my Fat Girls Shouldn’t Wear Stripes project was glamourising obesity. This wasn’t the first time that this comment has been made, and I doubt it will be the last considering that my project is about to be featured on one of our national current affairs shows, so I decided that it was something that I should respond to.

Khrissie thinks that body positivity is important because, “Put simply, there are so many other issues in the world to bother ourselves about other than stacking ourselves up against one another or feeling like the skin we were born into is not good enough. It’s what’s inside that counts – it’s not the peel, it’s the ‘nana.” View Post

“When I go, I go balls-deep. In the morning I say to myself: “Self, if you’re going to ‘do’ today, then FUCKING DO today!” So when I need to put on clothes, then I go hard core and I FUCKING PUT ON CLOTHES! I find a massive surge in self-motivation when I get dressed properly. When I put in the effort to totally master my day, I am empowered. View Post
