Lace doesn’t need to be reserved for underthings – I also like to wear mine on the outside. I find that it adds great texture to an outfit (especially if you like black on black as much as I do) and is ideal for layering.

That fateful coat
I wasn’t even looking for a coat. I nipped in to Autograph in Sylvia Park to have a quick look for a jumper while we were waiting to go and see Minions, and I spied it on the rack as I entered the store. I tried it on in slate blue and fell in lust with it’s warm cosy embrace. But slate blue isn’t practical with my wardrobe, and neither is hot pink, and the charcoal grey wasn’t there in my size. In New Zealand (at least, the part that I live in), winter is not about snow – it’s about rain. Winter is cold, wet and oftentimes quite miserable – so warm clothes, umbrellas and shoes that will keep your feet dry are essential. View Post

When I got up this morning, it was 1ºC. That’s not really a temperature that I operate well at (who does, really?), and it made me acutely aware that I don’t own any sweaters.
