I find that the older I get, the more of a risk taker I am. Whether it’s in fashion or in my life, I am more willing to try new things that I didn’t think would work or that I didn’t think I’d enjoy now that I’m in my 30’s than I ever did in my 20’s. I think a lot of that has to do with self confidence and how I feel about my body. View Post
An anchor for the soul
There is an anchor that ties me to the ocean. I grew up in seaside towns and always gravitate back to the sea when I need to revive my soul. In Auckland we are lucky to have a lot of beaches and some great waterfront areas, which makes it easy to recharge. Today I went along to one of my favourite spots in Auckland, which has a great view of the city, to enjoy the peace of the harbour and grab a couple of photos of my nautical inspired outfit. Review: Zhenzi Shapewear
Sometimes when I’m wearing a figure hugging dress, I want to be able to smooth out my silhouette a bit so you can’t see my underwear or bra line. My usual reaction to shapewear is “nope, GTFO”, because it’s not necessary and I’m not gonna be uncomfortable just so you can’t see a bit of chub, but I spied this slip from Danish brand Zhenzi on the Navabi website and I’ve never tried shapewear in a slip form so I figured it was worth trying out. Think of me as your fashion guinea pig. View Post
On the road again
I love a good summer roadtrip, especially when the destination is my partner’s home town of Taupo. We load up the car with all of our stuff, crank up the music and I annoy the child with my singing. There’s no need to dress all fancy for a roadie, casual and comfortable is where it’s at. View Post
Tiptoe through the flower beds
One of my favourite places to visit in Auckland is the Domain Wintergardens. I love being surrounded by nature, and the flower beds and plants in there are always stunning. I wore my moss green shirt to help blend in. View Post
