Swimsuit Special 2015: One Piece

Plus size swimwear 2015 one piece swimsuits

I’ve been for my first ocean swim of the season this week (over a week earlier than my first swim last year!), and that means that it’s time to start talking swimsuits. My swimsuit special is back for another year, and we’re going to kick things off with one pieces. Here are ten of my favourite plus size one piece swimsuits for 2015, bring on summer!

Plus size swimwear City Chic Pineapple Crush One Piece

I am quite taken with pineapples, so finding a pineapple print swimsuit is pretty rad! I saw someone wearing the bikini versionicon of this and I’m honestly not sure which one I like more. Worth noting: this swimsuit has adjustable straps, super cool contrasting red lining and it’s got a bit of ruching on the belly. Available in sizes XS-XL (14-22).

Plus size swimwear Swimsuits 4 All Longitude Gwenevere X-Back Tank Swimsuit

This swimsuit reminds me of a glorious peacock, I love this print! This suit is designed for babes with long torsos (like me!) and has a shelf bra with soft, wire-free moulded cups. It’s got PowerMesh across the tummy to suck you in a bit, which I like less for the slimming and more for the fact that it gives me a better fit and doesn’t go saggy like some others do if you wear them a lot. Available in US sizes 8-24 (NZ 12-28).

Plus size swimwear ASOS Pour Moi Twist V Control Swimsuit

Red swimsuits, regardless of the cut, always make me think of Baywatch. Anyone else? I loved that show, and remember doing my lifeguard certification at school. That’s beside the point, this swimsuit is cute – I love the little twist detail at the front. Available in sizes 10-22.

SHOP IT: Pour Moi Twist V Control Swimsuiticon, $92.10 from ASOS

Plus size swimwear EziBuy Quayside Woman Sweetheart Swimsuit

One thing I really like about the swimsuits from EziBuy is that they almost always offer a good selection of colourways. Want it in a plain colour? There’s a few to choose from. Prefer a print? They’ve got those too! This way, when you find something you really love the fit of, you can get it in multiple colours – it’s genius really! Available in sizes 16-26.

SHOP IT: Quayside Woman Sweetheart Swimsuit, $99.99 from EziBuy

Plus size swimwear Farmers Zest Resort Curve Maldives Floral Swimsuit

Nothing says tropical quite like gorgeous flowers, and this suit is getting me in the mood for summer. Add some coconut scented sunsceen, a pair of oversized sunnies and a floppy hat, and point me in the direction of the nearest sunny beach! Available in sizes 18-24.

SHOP IT: Zest Resort Curve Maldives Floral Swimsuit, $89.99 from Farmers

Plus size swimwear Pinup Girl Clothing Sand and Glam Illusion Swimsuit

If you’re not sure whether to go for a bikini or a one piece swimsuit, this bridges that gap nicely. Thanks to a mesh insert, you’ll have just a hint of skin showing across your midriff. It’s also got a skirted bottom, so if you want a bit more coverage then this style will be great for you. Available in sizes 1X-4X (approx US sizes 18-26, NZ 22-30).

SHOP IT: Sand and Glam Illusion Swimsuit, USD $132.00 from Pinup Girl Clothing

Plus Size Swimwear Autograph Tahiti Watermelon Stripe One Piece

As you will already know, I’m a sucker for stripes. I thought I’d take a jump away from the predictable nautical navy numbericon (which by the way, I adore) and embrace this delicious watermelon colour, isn’t it gorgeous? Available in sizes 14-26.

SHOP IT: Tahiti Watermelon Stripe One Pieceicon, AUD $89.99 from Autograph

Plus size swimwear ASOS CURVE Fishnet Insert Cupped Swimsuit

I really like swimsuits that have interesting details, so the fishnet inserts on this bathing suit really stood out to me. I think it’s a neat way to change up what would otherwise be just another black swimsuit. Available in sizes 18-28.

SHOP IT: ASOS CURVE Fishnet Insert Cupped Swimsuiticon, $61.40 from ASOS

Plus Size Swimwear Torrid Break in the Wall Natural Support One Piece Swimsuit

This swimsuit is all about the print. Well not quite, it’s also got a bit of oomph to it with underwire cups and removable push-up pads for a bit of lift. Available in sizes 0-5 (approx US sizes 12-26/28, NZ 16-30/32).

SHOP IT: Break in the Wall Natural Support One-Piece Swimsuit, USD $88.50 from Torrid

Plus size swimwear Yours Clothing Black & Green Tropical Leaf Print Panel Swimsuit

This leaf print just screams tropical vacation! I am most certainly ready to do a bit of lounging about in the sun, whether it’s poolside or seaside, I’m not fussed – just as long as there is sunshine, warmth and cool water. Available in sizes 18-28.

I always have trouble with swimwear because I much prefer a one piece, but I have a small bust and wide hips so often can’t get a good fit. I think my next purchase will be a mix and match tankini so I can get the top and bottoms in different sizes and still get the look of a one piece. It’s a shame though because I’ve seen so many gorgeous one pieces around lately. The pineapple print from City Chic looks especially amazing!

I’m the same, my hips are wider than my bust so one pieces often don’t work for me. Two pieces have turned out to give me a much better fit! Oh, and you can get the pineapple print in a two piece which is apparently better suited for smaller busts 😉

I hate swimsuit shopping, especially since my body has changed after having 3 very good sized kids! I love the ones that you have shown here and it kinda gives me hope that I can look sexy in a bathing suit after having kids (and not having to be a certain size either) xx

I hate swimsuit shopping as well, but I think that’s mostly because it’s just not a great experience when you have something particular in mind and then it doesn’t look/feel/fit how you want it to. Sometimes it can take a bit of trial and error to know what will work for you – I’m still on the hunt for a swim bra that fits my boobs well, then my swimsuit hunt shall be complete!

I usually buy from Farmers or Ezibuy but need to track down a decent swimsuit I can actually swim in!
