Yesterday I went swimming in the ocean for the first time this season, and you know what that means – summer is on the way and it’s time for my swimsuit special! What style of swimsuit do you like to wear? I’m kicking things off with some of my favourite one piece bathing suits – stay tuned for more great styles!
I love the pinup style of this swimsuit, and those mint polka dots are just too sweet! Available in US sizes 10-24 (AU/NZ 14-28).
SHOP IT: Tropiculture Bon Voyage Plus Size Sheath, USD $54.40 from Swimsuits For All
I love the ruffle around the neck of this plunging one piece – not only is it adorable, it also gives the appearance of slightly capped sleeves! Available in sizes 18-28.
SHOP IT: ASOS CURVE Swimsuit With Deep Ruffle Plunge, $73.53 from ASOS
I really like this style – it comes in a range of different colours and patterns, and I’m seriously considering picking one up for myself! Available in sizes 16-26
SHOP IT: Sara Crossover One Piece, $99.00 from EziBuy
It’s the little details that make things more interesting, and I love the little cut out on this suit! The straps are convertible, so you can wear this as a halter neck, cross back or with regular straight straps, depending on what you prefer. Available in US sizes 12-28 (AU/NZ 16-32).
SHOP IT: Peekaboo One-Piece Swimsuit, USD $78.50 from Torrid
Another suit with cute cut out detail is this one from lingerie and swimwear label Pour Moi. I’m really a big fan of polka dots, so this suit has a certain sweet appeal! Available in sizes 10-22.
SHOP IT: Pour Moi Curves Spice Island Swimsuit, $79.83 from ASOS
Fancy a little bit of glamour? Pinup Girl Clothing describes this as a “gorgeous, gathered, skirted thing of beauty that evokes old Hollywood glamour – and is designed to hold you in, and push you up, for an extremely sexy beach silhouette.” Saucy stuff! Available in PUG sizes XL-4X (approx US sizes 16-26, AU/NZ 20-30), also available in royal blue, green, red, pink and leopard.
SHOP IT: Pinup Couture Marilyn Swimsuit, USD $102.00 from Pinup Girl Clothing
With a floral print that is a kaleidoscope dream, you’re bound to get noticed in this swimsuit! Be bold and stand out with beautiful bright bathers. Available in CC sizes XS-XL (14-24).
SHOP IT: Floral Abstract One Piece, $109.99 from City Chic
Do you prefer a skirted bathing suit? I’m loving this one from EziBuy – it’s a similar style to the one I mentioned above, but with an added skirt. Available in sizes 16-26.
SHOP IT: EziBuy Sara Ruffle Skirted One Piece, $119.99 from EziBuy
If you’re after swimwear with a classic cut but don’t want it to look boring, this is a great suit. I love the slightly higher cut neckline (some of us need a little extra coverage on the front, y’know?) and the splash of colour from the waist. Available in US sizes 10-24 (AU/NZ 14-28).
SHOP IT: Longitude Pink Fan Club Plus Size Tank Swimsuit, USD $55.20 from Swimsuits For All
I like the combination of bandage-look fabric over mesh – it reveals a little bit of skin without showing off as much as a bikini would. If you’re looking for something to shape and slim your silhouette, this is just the thing to pull you in and push you up. At over $250 I would be indeed expecting miracles from this, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has worn one who can et me know whether they’re worth it! Available in sizes 16-26.
SHOP IT: Miraclesuit Mystify Hidden Underwire Swimsuit, $271.02 from ASOS
Which one of these one pieces catches your eye? Stay tuned for more swimsuit styles over the next few weeks!
xo Meagan
I’ve been following you for about a year and am really inspired. I’m still uncomfortable in my skin and shape but to see you embrace all you are I think it’s beyond awesome. When I read your posts I slowly, slowly gain a little bit of confidence in myself and am actually looking forward to summer 🙂
One day at a time lovely – remember that my confidence didn’t come overnight, it was something I worked on over a long period of time, so if you have some tough days then know you’re not alone! I hope you have an amazing summer xo
Perfect timing Meagan, I’ve been desperately searching for some new togs! I tried on the Ezibuy ones you profiled – they were lovely but unfortunately too small for me in the bust. Thank you for giving me some other options to check out 🙂
I’ll keep searching Eve! Fingers crossed one of my upcoming posts will help you find something that fits your bust! xM
I’ve bought from Ezibuy before and unfortunately their swimwear doesn’t hold up to chlorine very well. It has a high spandex ratio which is super comfortable but not long-lasting. But if you’re not going near chlorine, it might be good!
Oh really? That’s a bummer – I’ve never had any issues (or heard of any) like that myself. Make sure you pass that feedback on to the EziBuy team, I’m sure they’d want to know if you’re having issues like that! xM
