Summer Girl

I’ve just come back from my summer holiday and one thing that I wore a lot (as predicted!) was my shorts. The weather has been every thing from super hot and humid to chilly and stormy, and my shorts have been a really great go to that are easy to throw on with a tee or a singlet.

While I usually wear a lot of black, this summer I’ve been adding in more blue and white, and I think that it perfect with these blue denim shorts that have very quickly become my favourite pair. There is just something so summery and classic about blue and white, especially when it’s stripes and denim!

Denim shorts and a plain white tee are about as classic as it gets and I think they’re both wardrobe essentials (well they are for me at least!). If I was ever going to have a capsule wardrobe (let’s be honest, that’s probably never going to happen because I am most certainly not a minimalist), a plain white tee and some good denim shorts would be sure to make the cut.

So this summer I’m keeping things simple. Comfortable clothes, back to old favourites. Classic, comfy basics with sneakers and a smile.
