There’s something about cool weather that just makes me want to snuggle up in jumpers, whether it’s the middle of winter or the cold snaps we get in autumn and spring. Since I started watching Shaaanxo’s vlogs, I noticed that she wears a lot of high roll neck sweaters, and that’s exactly the kind of thing I needed for snuggling up in! I found an awesome plus size jumper at Navabi that fit the bill, and decided to order it in black because all of the jumpers I already have are light coloured neutrals (and by “all” I mean the two that I have, one animal print and one cream striped number).
I’ve never ordered from Navabi before. They’re based in the UK and Germany, and are a multi-brand website that is absolutely packed with high end plus size fashion. They’ve got pieces from designers like Isolde Roth, Carmakoma, Champagne and even their own house brand! This is a great place to make an investment in your wardrobe, there are fashion-forward pieces and classics (like the sweater I chose), with luxe fabrics like silk, cashmere, mohair…
They also have great style advice. The editor’s notes accompanying my roll neck sweater were “We will be wearing ours with everything from tailored shorts over opaques, to dresses and faux leather leggings.” That instantly helps me picture ways that it could work within my wardrobe that I might not have thought of.
Shipping from Germany was super fast, my parcel arrived in five days (for the record, I’ve had parcels within NZ that have taken longer). Shipping costs to New Zealand are on the pricey side (AUD $49.90 if your order is under AUD $399.00, or free over AUD $399.00), but considering how fast your parcel arrives (they say 4-6 business days on average) I think it’s a fair price to pay considering the value of the clothes.
So, let’s talk about the sweater. It’s made from 50% acrylic and 50% merino wool, and it has pockets. Obviously you won’t want to keep anything heavy in them, because that would ruin the shape of them, but they’re great for tucking a tissue in to, or your debit card if you’re just nipping down to the shop. It’s also got slightly cropped sleeves that finish an inch or two above my wrists which might seem a little weird but it’s perfect with gloves and I think actually looks good regardless.
I am usually a size 24-26 but picked my size using the size chart on the website for this particular item which advised me to get a 54-56 (the equivalent of a 28-30). I’m glad I sized up because I really like how the jumper fits, it’s the perfect slouchy sweater to wear with jeans or leggings.
How would you wear this snuggly roll neck sweater?
Meagan wears:
Isolde Roth Roll Neck Long Jumper from Navabi (54-56, gifted)
Sara Jeggings from EziBuy (26)
Head Over Heels Bronte Ankle Boots from Number One Shoes (9)
“Just for Kerr” Custom Bold Polly Necklace from Polly Collective (gifted)
Scala Fedora from Hatworx
I would love this sweater so much better if it wasn’t a turtle neck style, they always make me feel like I’m suffocating. Love the pockets though.
I’m usually the same but I found that it was pretty easy to stretch out the neckline a bit so it was more comfortable
The photos turned out lovely. Saw your “behind the scenes” on Snapchat. 🙂

I love ASOS! I feel like I haven’t shopped on there in a while, might be time to have a wee browse…
This is super cute! You can’t beat a roll neck for those windy days to stave off chills. Man, I’m sounding more like an old lady every day. 😉
Haha, I’m the same – nanas for life
