Today has been one of those days when the weather can’t make up it’s mind. It was extremely sunny but very cold this morning, then it warmed up before the storm clouds rolled in. All of a sudden it was raining, hailing and sunny all at the same time! This changeable weather makes layering really important, and I prefer fabrics that are thin yet warm for this, so I don’t end up looking like I’m wearing every item of clothing I own.
When I took these photos it was brilliantly sunny but still chilly, so a singlet, a tee and this snake print sweater were all that I needed on top, with stockings, a skirt (and a pair of socks!) on the bottom half.
I have to say, these stockings are an absolute godsend. I don’t know how I kept my legs warm in winter before I got thick tights! These ones are made from a natural fibre that comes from trees and they’re 180 denier (super thick!), so perfect for cold weather. Honestly, they are such a winter staple for me.
I don’t usually wear a lot of jewellery – simple studs and a watch, and maybe a ring. I’ve been experimenting a bit with accessories lately, trying to push my style boundaries a bit, so I thought this statement necklace was a great piece to pull this outfit together. What do you think?
