Simply Be Review + Haul

Simply Be has been around for a while now, and while you might have seen that they launched into Australia a few months ago, they are actually an international brand (thank you glorious internet shopping). I was talking to their team recently and they offered me the chance to pick out a few things so I could talk to you about fit. I think that when it comes to shopping online (which a lot of us in New Zealand have to do because styles and sizing can be limited, especially if you live rurally), feedback on fit is incredibly important, which is why I like to try new brands and share them with you. So here we go: a Simply Be Review and Try On Haul.

Simply Be has US sizes 6-34 (that’s 10-38 AU/NZ/UK) and they have a really good range of prices and styles. They also upload stock quite regularly so there is a lot to choose from (and you can find everything from swimwear to pyjamas to activewear to … basically outfits for all occasions).

So a couple of tips re: sizing. First up, make sure that you check the size chart – I think for the most part they’re pretty accurate (although I don’t know what the deal is with those Magi City shorts, those are definitely not my jam and despite sizing up to go by the size chart they were a no go for me and for my mum who is a couple of sizes smaller). Secondly, double check whether the sizing is in US or UK sizes. If you’re on the US site, it will be in US sizing but I think everywhere else is in UK sizing. Just in case you’re not sure – when you’re looking at the sizing on the garment it will say “Select your Size (UK Sizes)” if it’s UK sizing.

Shipping varies depending on location, but for us here in NZ, standard delivery (5-10 business days) is £9.99 and express shipping (3-8 business days) is £19.99 – a pretty standard shipping price for us.

I’m already planning to get some other pieces, so obviously I recommend Simply Be. A tip for you though – if you spot something you like don’t sleep on it. Their sizes can sell out really fast (I’ve already missed out on a couple of pieces I really wanted!), so don’t make the same mistake I did. I’m still hoping the dinosaur shirt comes back in stock in my size…
