I hear from a lot of mums and mums to be that finding plus size maternity and nursing clothing is hard, especially in New Zealand. When Sarah Raman was pregnant with her kids, she really struggled to find flattering, functional and fashionable plus size maternity and nursing clothing that she looked and felt great in, so she did what Kiwis are known for – Sarah decided to take the DIY route and make her own. Not just for herself, but for other mamas as well – and so SAMA + KIKI was born.
Sarah wanted to create maternity and nursing pieces that are comfortable, flattering and that complement a curvy mumma’s changing body. Clothes that you can wear out to special events, when picking the kids up from school, or just lounging around at home. So, pretty much exactly what you want as a mum, right? Things that make you look and feel good, and fit with your changing lifestyle.
I love all of the pieces she’s made – they’re stylish, they’re practical, and I think they’d fit perfectly in my wardrobe. I think that’s how maternity and nursing clothing should be, because let’s be real – just because we’re pregnant or post-partum, that doesn’t mean our love of style goes away, does it? SAMA + KIKI comes in sizes 14-24 and Sarah designs it right here in New Zealand.
I don’t want you to take my word on how gorgeous SAMA + KIKI is though – pop over and check out their website. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do.
