Spring is finally on the horizon and with it, more rain. Unlike the rain we get in winter, this is a bit different. It’s somehow not as cold and hold the promise of growth and new life. It makes the spring bulbs bloom and blossoms appear on trees, and it can catch you unawares. When it’s starting to warm up, I don’t want to be wearing heaps of clothes and a heavy coat, so I invested in a light parka in case of a rainy day.
It’s great if there’s a light shower, or to keep the breeze off (great if you’re out for a walk or supporting your kids at their football game). There are toggled drawstrings to help you adjust the fit around the bust, hem and hood.
It all folds up into itself, to make this handy little carry bag that I can just keep in my car or backpack. If it starts spitting then I can easily unfold it and pop it on!
When I know the weather is going to be wet I usually go for a simple combo of jeans and a top, with (faux) leather shoes to keep my feet dry. I get cold easily so it’s an easy outfit that keeps me warm. Do you have a go to outfit for wet spring weather?
Meagan wears:
Navy Shower Resistant Pocket Parka Jacket With Hood from Yours Clothing (26-28)
Kate Madison 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Neck Top from The Warehouse (24)
Sara Jeggings from EziBuy (26)
Head Over Heels Bronte Ankle Boots from Number One Shoes (9)
very cool parka, I had one like that in Hanoi but it was for when you were driving a motorbike so it had a big clear screen in the front where it would have gone over the front of the bike and let the light shine thru. it looked pretty funny when I wasn’t on a bike but I loved it anyway!
Oh wow, that sounds like an amazing parka!
awesome outfit Meagan, love the jacket 😀
