I’d been thinking about wanting to expand my jewellery collection (you know, to include more pieces that I actually wear), when I started talking to Sheree, an old high school friend of my boyfriend. As luck would have it, she happens to make jewellery (fortuitous timing, don’t you think?) under the label Polly Collective. And it is beautiful.

She showed me some of her designs and I fell in love – especially with this ring. As soon as I saw it, I could think of the perfect nail design to match. Sheree asked me what colours I like (blacks, greys, burgundy, copper and gold), and before I knew it she’d handmade me some beautiful pieces of jewellery! Not only does Polly Collective have some beautiful pieces, but they’re affordable – everything in the online store is AUD $35 or less.
One of the pieces Sheree sent me was the Galactic ring, which was inspired by her nerdy love of Sci-Fi. It’s so stunning! The copper flecks are beyond dreamy, and the ring is most definitely my style. I knew straight away that I needed to get Penny Lazic to give me a manicure to match, and I think she absolutely nailed it. A black base, creamy grey swirls and copper foil flecks, so perfect. I love how Penny always manages to translate my ideas to the perfect nail art (you should check out some of her tutorials).
