My usual sleeping attire ranges from my onesie to a winter nightgown (which is an epic nana gown that I love) to my owl pyjamas to nothing at all. With summer on it’s way I’ve decided that it’s time to get some new PJ’s that are more suited to the warmer weather, and thought I’d share some of my faves in case you were on the hunt too…
I love a classic cotton nightie in a crisp white with delicate detailing – it’s sweet, feminine and the perfect summer weight.
SHOP IT: Celine Nightie, AUD $49.95 from TS
When I was hunting for jammies a couple of years ago, I was reminiscing about the super cute shortie pyjamas my brother had as a kid and wishing that something similar was available in adult (and more specifically, plus) sizes. Well hello there Jane & Bleecker New York – they have some super cute PJ’s for straight and plus sizes, so we can all rock some super rad sleepwear!
SHOP IT: Jane & Bleecker New York Shortie Pajamas, $76.15 from Nordstrom
This is one of the nightgowns that I’m leaning towards getting. It’s really flattering on my body shape (yes, I’ve actually been in store and managed to resist buying it!) and it feels so nice! I love the lace detailing, it’s very feminine and the deep v-neck makes it that extra bit sassy.
SHOP IT: Pinspot Lace Chemise, AUD $49.99 from Autograph
One of the most comfortable things to wear to bed (for me) is a tank and PJ pants. I love this set, but I’m not sure if I’d find the halterneck comfortable. If you’ve ever worn a halter top to bed, can you let me know what you thought?
SHOP IT: Super Soft and Comfy Pajama Pants, USD $32.95 and Halter Top with Lace Trim, USD $39.95 from Hips & Curves
A simple slip is super comfortable to wear to bed and has the bonus of looking effortlessly sexy. I’ve worn mine for lounging about on hot evenings and can confirm that it makes me feel extra fabulous!
SHOP IT: Hanky Panky Silky Skin Slip, $114.23 from Nordstrom
Cropped pants and a tee make for a super comfortable pyjama set, plus you know what a fan I am of stripes and all things navy… This is the second style on my list of possible pyjama choices, what do you think?
SHOP IT: Stripe PJ Set, AUD $49.99 from Autograph
This looks super soft and I think it would be really comfortable to sleep in, although I might pair it with some boyshorts if I was planning on wearing it anywhere other than bed as it does look quite short. Life experience tells me that my large bust and big booty will make any dress sit a lot higher!
SHOP IT: Soft & Comfy Lace Trim Chemise, USD $39.95 from Hips & Curves
How about some satin pyjamas? I wanted satin sleepwear for the longest time, and was super excited to find the Lyric Plus range at Farmers which has both satin nighties and PJ sets!
SHOP IT: Lyric Plus Rose Satin PJ Set, $49.99 from Farmers
This cotton chemise is anything but boring – there are side slits to flash a little hint of thigh and the lace trim gives it a feminine edge. It’s the perfect combination of comfort and sexiness (and it comes in a range of colours, make mine one of each please!).
SHOP IT: Cotton Lace Trim Chemise with Side Slits, USD $29.95 from Hips & Curves
You already know how much I love my winter owl pyjamas from Autograph, and I know there were a lot of you who were keen on getting some but missed out. Luckily, they are back with a cute cropped design for summer. All owl everything please!
SHOP IT: Owl PJ Set, AUD $49.99 from Autograph
And even though it’s almost summer here in New Zealand and winter pyjamas are totally inappropriate for this weather, I had to share this nightshirt I found. It’s like a Christmas jumper in a nightshirt! It’s thermal so will keep you very very warm. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, could you please buy this so I can live vicariously through you?
SHOP IT: PJ Salvage Thermal Nightshirt, $78.87 from Nordstrom
What do you wear to bed in summer? I’d love to know if you have a preference (or perhaps you prefer to sleep in the buff). If you want to weigh in on which pyjamas you think I should buy this summer, please do so below!

I just have to tell you about Uplifting Nighties. They’re an American company & their nighties with a built in shelf-bra are wonderful. Not as supportive or uplifting as a bra, nevertheless they leave you feeling wonderful & gently supported. I have 2 with another on the way, and I adore them. I am not small (18DD/E) and oversize t shirts do not make me look or feel good. These do! Not cheap, but absolutely a bargain in terms of boosting one’s self confidence. 🙂
Ahhh they look so nice! I wish they did over a size 18, I would totally buy some if they did! Thanks for the heads up 😀
You won’t believe what good timing it was to find your post Meagan!
On our last trip away my ‘away’ PJ’s bit the dust so need replacing before Summer Holidays.
The ones that caught my eye were the super cute Hips & Curves Super Soft Pajama Pants & Halter Top and they look soooo comfy 🙂 The Purple is a luscious shade also.
Thanks

Ooh that does sound like perfect timing! I think I’m going to get those Hips & Curves ones too, they look super comfy right? xo
