The debate about whether tights qualify as pants is long standing and is one of those thing that we’re just going to have to agree to disagree on if you’re not a lover of leggings – I’m firmly of the belief that everyone should be allowed to wear whatever they like and rock the hell out of it.
I am embracing leggings right now because they’re warm, comfortable and let’s be honest – leggings are just plain awesome. Here are some of my favourite plus size leggings at the moment…

There are a lot of pairs of leggings with PU panels around this season, and I’m really liking the use of different fabrics to change up the black on black look. I have this pair and have been wearing them quite a lot recently (outfit photos to come when we get a fine day!), and I’m loving them so much – they’re super comfortable!

Tips for wearing leggings as pants
- Know the difference between stockings and leggings (yes, I have actually seen someone wearing sheer nylons out in public as pants)
- Make sure your leggings aren’t see through
- If you’re not confident showing off your bum and thighs, wear your leggings with a long top or tunic
- Leggings that are one colour will show cellulite more than patterned ones (which tend to draw the eye to the pattern rather than the smoothness of the surface)
- Don’t forget your sassy, confident attitude!

I have seen people wearing tights as pants too. It is unusual to me that they don’t consider it weird :/ But I too am a firm believer is wear what you want and rock it, even though I don’t always do so myself. I love leggings but I like them to be quite thick and wear with a long jumper or top. Great post and a good variety of prizes/styles.
