Plus size coats for spring

Just when you’re lying in the warm sun thinking that summer is just around the corner, BAM! It starts raining and the cold wind starts blowing, reminding you that it is still very much spring. When I was out for my walk this morning, I found myself thinking about how necessary it is to have a good coat at this time of year! Here are a few of my fave finds at the moment…

ASOS CURVE Exclusive Fit and Flare Mac

On top of the list of coats I’m loving is this green one – it’s so beautiful! I have one that’s almost identical, and I love it, but it doesn’t have a belt. I like the belt because it nips in the coat at the waist and would help to enhance my hourglass figure.

ASOS CURVE Duffle Coat With Check Lining

This is a wool blend coat, so it will keep you nice and warm on the days that are especially bitter and cold. It would have been perfect for my recent trip to play in the snow at Mt Ruapehu!

Simply Be Claire Richards Exaggerated Collar Fit And Flare Coat

A trench is an essential part of your trans-seasonal wardrobe, and ideal for keeping out the chill and the wind without being too heavy.

I’m certainly learning about the cold having moved from Sydney to Melbourne. Melbourne has a different version of cold, and they can have so many weather changes in a day! I’ve had to invest in a new jacket and I think I’m going to have to buy a couple more! I’m LOVING that top ASOS one!

Melbourne is a lot like Auckland, the weather is super erratic and can go from hot and sunny to windy with sideways rain in minutes – definitely have to be prepared for four seasons in one day!
