Plus Size Christmas Sweaters

Every year I put together a selection of my favourite plus size Christmas sweaters and tees, and this year is no different. It’s summer here in New Zealand, but where I am it’s still quite cold so I feel like we could still get away with either Christmas tees or jumpers. So here’s some of my faves in size 8-40 (that’s US 4-36 if you go by those sizes), if you spot something you like then be quick because I’ve already managed to miss out on TWO of the ones I wanted (not featured here because they are long gone my friends).

Okay so it seems like there’s two ways to go: Christmas or winter. I’m in the southern hemisphere, where it’s summer, so the idea of a wintery Christmas is completely novel to me! I think I tend to lean towards more wintery Christmas sweaters and tees for that reason – how about you?

I’ve talked about this Muggle jumper before and I know so many of you loved it! I did buy one but unfortunately it was too small for me (they go up to a size 24, but I’d say that probably fits more like a 22 or possibly a 20 so would advise you to size up if you can).

I quite like designs that are a bit witty. My family regularly tries to out-do each other on the puns so I feel like Seasonings Greetings would go down a treat! I also love the planets as decorations – this is very very me and I’m pretty tempted to pick this one up for myself (and I’d totally wear it year round).

Llama seem to be making a right appearance at the moment, I’ve seen so many llama things around! Llama mugs, llama money boxes, llama planters, heck there are even llama slippers and llama drama pyjamas. That’s only the tip of the iceberg honestly, these are the popular animal of the moment and I’m not mad cos they’re super cute.

I’m basically a sucker for any kind of cute animal motif, whether it’s a festive little hedgehog ready to party or Santa Jaws. That one is definitely on my personal wishlist this year.

For the MLP and unicorn fans. These look to be pretty similar to the Muggle jumper mentioned about so I’d say the same sizing notes apply: size up. There’s always something good for cat lovers and this year I’m excited to find these two: a very traditional print with a feline twist on a sweatshirt, and a really cute tank top that will be perfect for our summer Christmas. Merry Catmas everyone!

Does anyone remember the old school Coca Cola ads around Christmas? I’m not sure if they still have them in other countries but I remember seeing them when I was growing up. This reminds me of that iconic time and I think I’d totally wear this purely for the nostalgia.

My one year old nephew has revived my passion for all things dinosaur and I may have let out a squee when I saw this. I have specifically been looking for dinosaur tops in plus sizes! Unfortunately this is already sold out in my size but I’ll continue the hunt.

There are lots of plays on Christmas phrases and somehow flamingos have joined Christmas! We’ve got a couple of takes on deer and flamingo tops above and below, which one catches your eye? Okay so I know that these technically are pyjamas and not daywear, but I’m throwing them in the mix because I think that the tops can easily be made part of your outfit. Also, how much lounging about is done in the holidays? Should be more, in my opinion.
