It’s Aussie Curves pattern clash week, and as I’m not much one for clashing patterns, I thought this was a great time to bring out a look that combines simple patterns in two neutral colours.
I’m wearing 17 Sundays’ latest fit n flare dress in black and bone stripes, and I’ve decided that this is going to be my new favourite dress for autumn (bring on the cooler weather!). It has elbow length sleeves (which I’m sure you’ll see in future posts) and the cut is slightly different to the other two dresses in this style from previous season (in black, and in navy and cream stripes), with more of an a-line skirt. The fabric feels a bit lighter too, so I’m predicting that this dress will become a staple in my wardrobe around mid-March…
If I’m dressed head to toe in neutral tones then I like to pair my outfit with a boldly coloured accessory. For this outfit, that’s my nails – they’re a bright popping watermelon colour (hold tight for a closer look at them in tomorrow’s post!).
How do you mix and match your patterns? Check out the other Aussie Curvettes below (and if you’re a New Zealand babe, why don’t you come and join our NZ Style Curvettes group on Facebook for some body positive fashion inspiration?).
