How to nail that job interview

Job interview // New Zealand plus size fashion blogger Meagan Kerr wears Wild Child Urban Stripe Bodice Tea Dress from Farmers, New Look Trenchcoat from ASOS, Donatella's Tights and Black Croc Ocean Shoes from Ziera

I’ve worked in a number of different jobs in my life, including being a dishwasher in a pub; working as an administrator in many fields including real estate, healthcare and in start-up companies; a teaching assistant in a high school (english, drama and dance) and for med students (gynae); and a photographer. I’ve also been a manager, and been on both sides of the table when it comes to the often-dreaded job interview, and there are a few tips that I’ve picked up along the way. View Post

Taking Stock

It was my birthday on Sunday (I turned 32), and every year around my birthday I like to reflect on how things are going, where I’m at in my life and where I want to be. What better time to share what’s going on in my life at the moment? If you want to know more about one of my answers, leave a comment below and I’ll happily answer any questions! View Post

Pretty shoes for plus size feet

Staavias - pretty shoes for plus size feet

Gustavia Lui is a total #girlboss – she’s not even 30 and already she has spotted a problem in the fashion industry and come up with a solution. She’s the managing director of Staavias, a New Zealand based brand making pretty shoes for plus size feet. Forget boring clunky shoes or jandals, these are stylish shoes in eye catching designs, especially for large feet – and they even do half sizes. I asked Gustavia a few questions to find out more about how she got started and what we can look forward to. View Post
