I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that Valentine’s Day is coming up – my inbox has been flooded with emails suggesting chocolates, jewellery, lingerie … you know, the usual. But as I’m sure you’ll remember from previous years, I’m personally not a big fan of Valentine’s Day because I don’t think that you should only celebrate your love for others (whether they’re friends, family or your partner) once a year. Chilling out at Five Mile Bay, Taupo
As we do almost every year, we decided to take our summer holidays in mid January when we knew the weather would be a bit nicer and after many people had gone back to work. Taupo is a really popular summer holiday destination, and we knew it was jam packed with visitors after our trip down for Christmas, so making the decision to wait a few weeks to return was a good one (and meant that our favourite spots weren’t full of people!). I’ve just come back from my summer holiday and one thing that I wore a lot (as predicted!) was my shorts. The weather has been every thing from super hot and humid to chilly and stormy, and my shorts have been a really great go to that are easy to throw on with a tee or a singlet. View Post
