I stopped loving my body

I spent a lot of time actively working to stop hating my body and start loving it. Loving it right now, as it is, without conditions. Because that’s how body positivity and self love works, right? Well guess what, that is bloody hard! Every time I feel like I am kind of getting there, it’s like running a race and having the finish line move as you get closer. View Post

As a big busted babe, I find it incredibly difficult to find really great button up shirts. Things that are made to fit my bust just don’t seem to be made to fit the rest of my body (and vice versa).

In my late teens and early 20’s I worked in finance (possibly not what you’d expect from me, but I loved it!), and office attire was usually button up shirts, and suit skirts (or pants) with jackets. I was much less busty then than I am now, but even then I felt like it was a struggle to find tops that didn’t threaten to pop a button at all times. View Post

Living with anxiety

Trigger Warning: Mental Health, Anxiety

New Zealand style blogger Meagan Kerr talks about living with anxiety

My anxiety isn’t cute. It’s not a something to be romanticised or played down. It’s not a trend. It can be incredibly debilitating, isolating and frustrating. A lot of the time my anxiety is quiet – from the outside I might look fine but inside I’m so overwhelmed I can’t even manage simple tasks.

I find it really hard to talk about mental health stuff, not because I’m ashamed (well maybe sometimes it’s that), but more because finding the words to describe what I’m feeling is hard. I know, me – a writer – struggling for words, it’s not what you’d expect is it? View Post

I love a good clothing haul video, and it’s been a while since I filmed one. There are a few brands that I follow on Instagram that I have been eyeing up and planning on doing a little shop with to see what they’re like, and the first up is Lovedrobe. View Post

When I worked in an office, stockings were an absolute essential to help me keep warm in winter. I still get a lot of people asking me where to buy plus size stockings, so I like to keep up to date with what’s out there. When The Tight Spot reached out and offered me a couple of pairs to review, I jumped at the chance, because they have some great brands of hosiery (both plus and straight size) that I’ve been wanting to try.
