Inbetweenie sizes are those on the smaller end of plus size (14-18)* – an inbetweenie babe could shop at some plus size stores (these sometimes start from a size 12), and can usually find clothes in straight sized stores too (at least, they can in New Zealand, where most straight size stores carry up to a size 18 – this may be a very different case outside NZ). While inbetweenie women might have a wider selection of places to shop, they are sometimes looked down on by other members of the plus size community, something I’ve never been able to understand. Body acceptance isn’t just about people who are over a size 18, it’s about understanding that all bodies are good bodies, and loving yourself at all sizes and shapes. With that, I wanted to share some of my favourite inbetweenie fashion bloggers – check them out and be inspired! View Post
Who wears short shorts?
I wear short shorts! I wear them at home when it’s crazy hot (which at the moment is all the damn time), I wear them when I do yoga, and I wear them for physio sessions. You might be thinking, “Now hang on a minute, I read Meagan’s blog all the time, and I’ve never seen her in shorts.” And you’d be right – because I have always felt weird about wearing shorts in public.
I know this isn’t particularly logical, especially given how comfortable I feel wearing swimsuits and sharing photos of myself in my underwear, but it’s something that’s been with me ever since I was at school. View Post
Plus Size Lingerie
Valentine’s Day is coming up next month, and whether you’re single or loved up I believe that every woman should have lingerie that makes her feel like a million dollars. This is a great chance to find lingerie that makes you feel like a goddess, whether it is to wear for your lover or for yourself, so I’ve picked out some of my favourite plus size lingerie to help you look and feel fabulous. Almond Shaped Nails
Brought to you by Monaco Nails & Beauty
One of the things I wanted to try this year was almond shaped nails – I’ve seen them on so many people and when they’re done well they look amazing! So last week I visited nail guru Penny Lazic at Monaco Nail Academy, and asked her to make it happen. View Post
Pattern Clash: Spots and Stripes
It’s Aussie Curves pattern clash week, and as I’m not much one for clashing patterns, I thought this was a great time to bring out a look that combines simple patterns in two neutral colours. View Post
