A few people have been asking about how I get my skin to look so good, so I thought I’d give you a rundown on the skincare routine I’ve been using this winter. It changed my skin from dry and flaky to smooth and hydrated – my skin has never looked this good! All of these products are cruelty free, and most of them are made in New Zealand – hurray!
I use a number of different products, and have different routines for morning and night, as well as a few things that I do weekly and a spot of body pampering. I made a video to give you a bit of a run down on the products, which I’ll link for you below.
Still with with me? Good. Here’s the lowdown on where you can pick these skin treats up for yourself…
MORNING:
In the morning I wash my face with Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser* or use the Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub (I use a scrub every three days or so), followed by Dermalogica Ultracalming Mist*. To moisturise I alternate between Goodness Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil* and Sorbet The Perfector Solid Face Moisturiser*
NIGHT:
At night I like to keep things super simple – I remove my makeup with Tailor Oil Cleanse*, steam it off using a face cloth and then follow up with Dr Hauschka Night Serum which smells like apples! My night skin routine used to be a lot more complicated but since switching to this simple combination I noticed that my skin looks and feels much nicer when I wake up.
WEEKLY:
Sunday is pampering day for me – the perfect time to take a bath, pop on a face mask and give my skin a bit of a treat. Depending on what my skin is doing I’ll use either the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask from Lush, which has herbs, spices, almonds, honey and fruit juices and leaves my skin bright and glowing or the heat activated scrub Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant* followed by an old favourite, Tailor Masque, which leaves my skin feeling fresh and clear. I also use Lucky Lips Black Cherry Lip Scrub from Black Robin, which is a saviour on my lips (especially when they’re chapped from having a cold and going out in the wind over winter).
BODY:
The rest of my skin needs treats too! I use Exfoliate by Miss Bliss* once a week – it’s a mocha coffee scrub and is hands down the best body scrub I’ve ever used. It really gives me that get up and go feeling, and makes my skin feel soft and polished – no yucky winter skin here! I use Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Body Cream* every day to keep my skin looking good (it sparkles, holy moly!), but at the end of winter (so, now) I switch to Skinfood Tanning Moisturiser to give me a bit of a gradual tan so that my pins aren’t so pale when it starts warming up. I don’t usually wear fake tan because I go naturally tan in summer, but at this time of year I’m a lot paler, especially after being unwell.
Do you have any of these products in your winter skincare routine? Let me know if you’ve tried any of them and what you thought, and if you have any questions about my skincare then please ask away!

You definitely have gorgeous skin! I suffer a bit from dry and flaky skin so I’ll keep some of these products in mind next time I’m replenishing my skincare supplies.
Thanks Em, it’s taken a long time to get here but I’m so happy I finally found a skin routine that really works for me.
