Well, who ever thought this day would come? Certainly not me! When I was being photographed for this article, I naively thought that the pictures were for inside the magazine. I never imagined that I would be on the cover! Heck, I actually had never envisioned myself in front of another photographer’s lens!*
But here I am. Bitchy resting face and all…
I promise, it wasn’t all serious faces – if you pick up a copy of the Sunday Star Times today and go straight to Sunday Magazine (I’m on the cover, you can’t miss it), there’s also my smiling face.
If you are outside New Zealand (or for some reason can’t get your paws on a copy of Sunday Magazine this week), that’s okay. I’ve had a lot of you ask me where you can read the interview online – good news is that you can do that here thanks to the team at Stuff.co.nz. You don’t get the pretty pictures from the shoot but you will be able to read Therese Oneill’s article. Please be warned that there are some pretty shitty comments at the end of the article – I recommend not reading them.
**EDIT: You can now read the article in full on my blog, where comments are moderated and body shaming is not tolerated**
Two things I just have to mention:
- The other two bloggers mentioned in the article are Whitney from POC Fat Fashion and Sian from Sort Life Out; Buy Milk, make sure you check out their blogs and leave them some love!
- In the photo at the top of the article, I’m wearing Hope & Harvest’s wide belted skirt in sea. It’s sold out in that colour, but you can still get it in hot pink (which I have and love) and ocean blue.
Can I also just say, aren’t my nails amazing? I’m the very proud brand ambassador for Monaco Nails & Beauty, which is not only a nail salon but also a training academy – so if you’re wanting to become a nail tech/artist and learn from New Zealand’s best nail educators, they’re the people you should be talking to! Get in touch with them here, tell them I sent you.
That’s enough from me (for now), I’m off to eat brunch with my boyfriend while reading the Sunday papers. I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend and I can’t wait to hear what you think of the article!
xo Meagan
*Something that not many of you may realise is that when I take photos of myself for my blog, most of the time I’m the model and the photographer! I graduated with a degree in Design and Visual Arts, and was a photography major. My specialities are fashion photography and self portraiture – perfect for a style blogger, right?
