As the spring blossoms fall and are thrown about in the wind, the sunshine comes out to welcome in summer and a brand new year. This calls for light summer dresses, jandals and many trips to the beach.
I absolutely adore the print on this dress from 17 Sundays, the pop of colour is perfect if you’re usually a fan of head to toe black but would like to dip your toe ito the world of summer brights.
The dress is made from a nice light fabric (perfect for keeping cool on a hot summer day), and it has pockets. Y’all know how much I love skirts and dresses with pockets!
It’s true to size, and I find it a really great fit overall (I’m wearing the 26 and find it perfectly ample in the hips and bust, the two areas that I’m biggest), with an elastic waistband to help emphasize your waist and define your shape. The hemline sits quite high on me, and looking at the photos of it on Sophie, that’s where it’s meant to sit. It’s a lot shorter than the hemlines I’m used to wearing, so I must remember to sit with my knees together!

It’s a lovely dress with a pattern and colour that is so multi-seasonal – that’s awesome. I hope it isn’t too hot in NZ today, in Melbs it was 35 and just, ughhhh.
Fortunately it was a nice balmy 25 today! It wasn’t as scorching as it has been, which was so nice. I actually can’t imagine being able to handle 35, I think I’d want to sloth about!
