As you know, I was on the cover of Sunday Magazine a couple of weeks ago. I promised that I would get a digital copy of it for you so that anyone who wanted to read the accompanying by Therese Oneill and see the pictures without having to read the body shaming/concern trolling/generally nasty comments on Stuff.co.nz (no one should have to read stuff like that!). And so, here you go – you should be able to click on the images to open them and zoom in to read the text…
I’m so excited to have been included in this article alongside fellow fatshion bloggers Whitney from POC Fat Fashion and Sian from Sort Life Out; Buy Milk, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the article!

Reading this, I can relate and i know that so many others will too. I hope that this speaks to the young fatties who are shaping into young adults. If they can come to terms with their own body image and how they feel about themselves, they can save them selves years of self hate. I wish in my teen years fatshion blogs were around, being able to see my body represented i wouldn’t feel like i was the only fat person in the world. But lucky it was around the time that Trinnny & Susannah and Gok came out and spoke about dressing with confidence at any size. Now we have moved on from what not to wear, to wear what the hell you feel like!
Keep blogging hard, every body needs a voice and every voice will find an ear of the person who needs to hear it the most.
Thanks Marie! I agree, I wish there were fashion blogs when I was a teenager. Like you, I felt like the only fat person in the world – so glad times have changed (and gorgeous plus size fashion is available and affordable!) xM
I love that final line in the article! So cool. I just love the attitude of “wear whatever the hell you want.” Even though I’m not overweight I get so sick of being told what to wear. I’ve got a very pear-shaped body and am “meant” to wear dark colours only on my bottom half because my hips stretch for several miles… but I love rocking my green and red jeans!
