So, you already know that I am obsessed with Christmas sweaters. If only it was cold enough here in New Zealand to justify wearing them! In lieu of sweater weather, my favourite nail artist Penny Lazic has given me gorgeous Christmas sweater nails.
We spent a long time searching through Pinterest, online clothing stores and even knitting patterns to find the perfect designs for my nails. The one thing I especially wanted to include were the reindeer – how freaking cute are they?!? For the rest of the designs we went with shapes that were repetitive, much like the designs in Fair Isle patterns.
We kept the colours quite neutral because I wanted the amazing nail art to shine rather than being hidden in a jumble of colours. Five or more colours is okay for a Christmas jumper, but not so great when it comes to translating the pattern into super detailed nail art – keeping it simple was key.
I’m so in love with my Christmas sweater nails, especially the adorable little reindeer!
