I’ve been wanting to add a red and black check shirt into my closet for a long time but I have found it really hard to find one that’s a good fit for me – I have big boobs and button ups combined with shirts that have no stretch? It just doesn’t work.
When I saw this one I tried on a few sizes and then decided that I could make it work if I sized up. It still gapes a little over one button but my plan has always been to wear it open over a tank or a tee with jeans or ponte pants – simple and comfy.
LOOK ONE: River Island Plus Scoop Neck Tank (24), Kate Madison Roll Sleeve Check Shirt (28, gifted), Yours Clothing Biker Pintuck Jeggings (26/28) and Number One Shoes Limited Edition Lecester Boots (US6 M)
One of my go to ways of styling a button up without buttoning it is to tie it under my bust – easy as! I like pairing it with my all time fave circle skirt, which is high waisted and it sits at the same place as my shirt ties up. This top has built in buttons on the sleeve so that you can roll it up – perfect for me because as I sized up, the sleeves are a little long when they’re down.
LOOK TWO: River Island Plus Scoop Neck Tank (24), Kate Madison Roll Sleeve Check Shirt (28, gifted), ASOS CURVE Circle Skirt (26) and Life & Sole Snakeskin Hi-top Sneakers (8)
Nothing says easy casual like tying a plaid shirt around your waist. Where I live the temperature changes quite a lot during the day, so you can go from wearing the check shirt over a plain tee or tank to tying it around your waist. Very 90’s!
LOOK THREE: Torrid White V-Neck Tee (4), Kate Madison Roll Sleeve Check Shirt (28, gifted), Yours Clothing Biker Pintuck Jeggings (26/28) and Number One Shoes Limited Edition Lecester Boots (US6 M)
