I’m super excited to be celebrating my blog’s 4th birthday today – that’s four years of style, self love and so many other things. I wouldn’t be here, doing what I love, without every single one of my readers, so I wanted to say thank you.
This has been an epic journey: when I started I didn’t really know what a blog was or how this was meant to work, I certainly never expected to be doing this for a living! Back then, I was too shy to stand in front of the camera, my relationship with my own body was not so great and I really didn’t have a sense of style that I felt expressed me.
Four years on, and blogging is my full time gig. I’m in front of the camera on a daily basis, not just for the blog but also capturing memories with my family. I work at loving my body every single day, and I encourage other people to love theirs. I’ve rediscovered my style. I get to work with some of my favourite brands and next week I get to fly to Australia to attend Melbourne Fashion Week Plus. Life is awesome.
So I want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my blog. Thank you for sharing my posts with your friends, for taking a moment to like or comment on my posts, for joining in our outfit challenge. When was your last bra fitting?
oooh it was ages ago.. the shop i went into barely had any bras my size but i notice that it depends on what brand you buy im suppose to be a dd but in rose and thorn im e/f.. so really i have no clue now lol
i have never had a bra fitting always put it off
Today is my wifes birthday and she has never had a bra fitting before, but I love buying her the rose and thorne lingerie. They have an excellent selection in her size (18) and make her more confident. Thumbs up for them.

My last bra fitting was probably over 10 years ago, since then I’ve had a baby (who’s now 7) and a hysterectomy – lets just say my boobs have changed a lot in that space of time LOL!!! (Glad I’m not alone too!!)
I’ve been thinking bout this all week, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bra fitting?
My hen’s party we spent a couple of hours in a lingerie shop trying things on and I had to model them in the window…. (and yes I did it!) The shop keeper was impressed I was wearing the correct size and she asked me if I’d been fitted.. i said nope I just bought what was comfy rather than trying to fit into a specific size.

I’ve never had a proper bra fitting
Oh my goodness WAAAAY too long. Last time I got measured I was newly pregnant with my first and my old bras were getting a little (lot) snug. Those old bras now look teeny tiny in comparison 2 breastfed babies and much pregnancy related change later.

Hmm my last bra fitting was about 6months ago when I tried on bras. It was a DIY bra fitting because I’ve never had much luck with others measuring for me.
I had a rose and thorne fitting about a year ago but I’m a bit bigger now so I really should go back for another one.
This is embarrassing to admit but I used to work fitting people I always made sure they would feel comfortable! I once got fitted by my manager (who was not a nice person, this was prob 13yrs ago) and I NEVER got fitted again as she absolutely embarrassed me! I am Definately overdue a fitting and just should get over the fear by taking the leap! Easier said than done. X
Several years again and I’ve fluctuated a lot in weight since so fairly confident I’ve continued buying the wrong size bras. Funny how we wouldn’t wear the wrong sized shoe but we don’t think twice about the right sized bra
My one and only fitting was about 3 years ago and funnily enough I was actually wearing the correct size! Nowadays I tend to wear stretchy sports bras all the time, so I’d love the chance to fit into something a little more feminine.
My last fitting would have been 4 and a half years ago when I got married.
I had mine a couple of months ago, actually! That would’ve been my second time, the first when I was 11 or so. To my embarrassment I didn’t know I would get fitted and so wasn’t wearing a bra which fitted me very well then.

My last fitting, never had one done professionally cos everytime I went into a bra store they either never had my size or I got looked at horribly. I have done some research and have done my own calculations which work well when I cam find the right bra in my size. I am actally on the hunt for some new bras at the mo. My current bras are old but I just haven’t found the right ones for the right price.

And I shamefully cannot even remember the last time I had a proper bra fitting 😮 The closest thing would be when I was trying on some sports bras just over 2 years ago at Brava Lingerie, but I didn’t have a fitting, just picked whatever held them in place! Probably time for a fitting I think!

I had a bra fitting last year that saw me wearing bras too tight around the band (for me).
Just got some bra extender thingies and they work a treat.
I’ve only had one fitting, which had a sad outcome, as my body doesn’t so much adhere to cookie cutter standards. The bras the nice lady insisted were my fit were definitely not and she argued with me about it ’till I finally stepped out in frustration to show her the girls were rattling around in the cups like peas in a dry husk and she finally had to agree that her chart and my body didn’t coincide. She didn’t have anything that worked, I seem to be quite unusual body wise. I’ve not been anywhere else since and just shyly hunt on my own for something that makes due when it’s time to retire an old one and suffer the day ’till it’s time to go home and toss it.

YAAAYy happy 4 years 😀 thats awesome! As for the bra fitting, I’ve never had one. A friend and I are going in November, and I sent R&T my measurements last night as the wires in my bras keep popping out leaving me devastated. If I wasn’t shy I’d rock no bra hahaha but nobody wants to see that lol
I honestly don’t remember when my last bra fitting was, I normally only buy sports bras and go by my measurements to get the size and then try on to check fit. I suspect my husband would love to see me in something pretty rather than practical.

About 2 1/2 years ago after I had lost 23 kgs but I’ve put 16kgs back on & now have uncomfortable bras with back extenders 😒

Happy birthday blog….time before last. Got fitted properly and bought a style of bra that fitted perfectly in 3 different colours.
Embarrasingly I’ve only had a fitting nearly 20 years ago in my teens, but I measure myself at home with a tape when online shopping & only get it half right. Definitely would leave it up to the professionals for a decent fit; That blue & grey set is so stylish! 🙂

About 4 years and I didn’t really agree with it! Got talked into buying bras that fit horribly 🙁
Oh no! I’ve had that same experience, because the store didn’t stock my size and instead of tell me straight up, the person tried to fit me into bras that were three sizes too big in the band and four cup sizes too small. What I loved about Rose & Thorne is that when I had my fitting, they straight up told me that I was wearing the wrong size and while they didn’t do my cup size they were able to recommend another place that did so now I have bras that fit!

Congrats on the anniversary! I probably stopped going for bra fittings after a fairly humiliating experience where I was told that there was nothing in the store that would fit me – except for a plain, ugly brown number with super wide straps. Industrial is probably the word for it.

My first bra fitting was just over a month ago when I got my first bra from rose and Thorne. It’s the best bra I own! I can’t believe I waited so long to get it done.

Congrats! Funny enough I went in today to the Rose and Thorne factory shop near me and bought a much needed new bra! Prior to that it had been years and years and the ladies there were so helpful so I’d love to go visit them again, lol!

The last time I had a proper bra fitting was also the first time – when I was about 13 years old, with not even enough boobage to fit a 10a lol…not so little anymore – 31 years and 2 children later I am proudly rocking a 14d 🙂

My last bra fitting was at the Bendon outlet shop in Otaki in June. I had the cup size right but I had been buying bras at least 4 sizes too big!!
I still had to shop in their ugly big sizes section though, so I only bought one bra. I would love to be able to get some prettier ones from Rose & Thorn! Big bosom girls deserve to feel sexy too!

I have never ever had a bra fitting… I’m 20 and I just run in grab the size that’s looks close to what I’m wearing and leave… My bras do always fit properly but they hold my boobs up….so they will do.
The lovely kind ladies at Rose and Thorne in Milford kindly checked my fitting for me 3 months ago, to be sure my new polka dots would be not just pretty but comfy and supportive too

I’ve never actually had 1 which is terrible but I do make sure they fit nicely without bulging etc anyway. In the last 6 months though I’ve gone down in size again though so now only have 1 bra that fits well and 2 that are slightly to big.

2010 – on holiday on the Gold Coast and decided to buy some lingerie having lost some weight. I went down a back size and up a cup size
I think my last proper bra fitting was in 2010 at Victoria’s Secret in NYC, and I am still wearing the same bra’s! Happy birthday too!

Last bra fitting was for my wedding in feb 2015. Even tho my weight has fluctuated, my bra size has remained constant. Thank goodness, coz underwear shopping is expensive!

I have never actually had a bra fitting!
I get mine when I’m in farmers and have time, use to work at farmers so know they offer the service. I love rose and Thorne I’m totally converted , I have found the size that fits – leaves me feeling perky and pretty and will no back pain . Also – on a side note – how and where do you announce your winners? I follow you on snap chat and Facebook , get the fortnightly updates and I think Instagram too but never see any mention of the winners for your comps and just think it would be a lovely social media engagement piece.

Hmmmm last time I had a fitting was before I had my daughter and she is 8 in January. Oops so 3 kids later might be time
I get one every so often. I had a breast reduction a few years ago- went from a G to a C and now I’m an E so I definitely need a fitting every so often. Boobs change girls! don’t be afraid to ask a professional- it will make a huge difference to how your clothes fit and you will feel more comfortable as you won’t be pulling at your straps!

I got sized twice in one week about a month ago. Two different stores, two different sizes (and quite a lot of difference). I went with the Rose and Thorn fitting. 🙂

1992 my mum took me to get my first bra . I had a child a year ago and I need to get some new post baby bras.

The last time I had a fitting was about a year and a half ago in preparation for Curvy Couture 2015. The time before that was in 2008. I certainly don’t plan to leave another 7 year break between fittings!

Never had a fitting before just go to the shop and look and say yep that will do. I bought a pretty purple rose and Thorne bra wear it once and no wrong size it rides up and annoys me so now stuck in the back of my draw forever. I haven’t had a bra fitting in about, um, three years!? I had a depressingly unsuccessful attempt at bra shopping in a crowded outlet shop on the weekend, so really need to get myself sorted…!

My last proper fitting was when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter and I was getting fitted for maternity bra’s, my daughter is now 21

Oh god, I’m well overdue. I was last fitted a couple of years ago and since then my bra size has definitely changed. The kicker is that I have a drawer full of beautiful rose and thorne bras that are all just not quite right 🙁
