Some things haven’t much changed since I was a child – I still can’t make a good cup of tea, breakfast in bed is always appreciated and my mum is still one of my best friends. That might sound cheesy but it’s totally true – even more so now that we live in different countries. We talk often, she’s my sounding board (and voice of reason), and she’s always supported my crazy ideas (like leaving a perfectly good job to become a blogger). She’s coming over to visit me for my birthday next week, and my birthday just happens to be on Mother’s Day – clearly a sign that I’m her greatest gift, right? View Post
Plus size activewear picks
There seems to be a lot of assumption that plus size women aren’t or don’t want to be active. At least, that’s what you’d think given that finding really great plus size activewear has in the past been very difficult. That’s not the case anymore, there are some brands doing great things and I wanted to share a few of my fave picks of what is around at the moment. View Post
Plus Size Pinup: Fran Robertson
Meet Fran. She makes costumes and hairpieces (specialising in the weird and wonderful) and works as a wardrobe stylist as well as doing hair and makeup. She dabbles in portrait photography, is an all round awesome babe and to top it all off she is a Miss Pinup New Zealand 2016 finalist. I was excited to be able to catch up with her to ask a few questions about her style, being body positive and being a plus size woman in the Miss Pinup New Zealand 2016 finals. View Post
Sweet Like Candy
The Pantone Colours of the Year are Rose Quartz and Serenity – a warm rose tone and a cool tranquil blue. This means that we are now seeing a lot of pastel/candy colours cropping up everywhere from homeware to fashion and I for one am loving it. I thought that with Easter just around the corner I’d share a few sweet treats that have been catching my eye…

Ignore the label
Over the last wee while I have been going through all my clothes, sorting out the ones I don’t wear (or don’t fit) in an attempt to clean out my wardrobe. In the process I’ve found sizes ranging from 16 to 30. I’m generally about a size 24-26, and I thought I’d try things on to see if they were worth keeping or it was time to move on. You know what? The size 16 pieces fit me, and the size 30 pieces fit me. Crazy right? View Post
