As a plus size woman in a culture that promotes only one kind of body and only one kind of lifestyle as acceptable, I am very aware of how fat bodies are viewed in our culture. On a daily basis I encounter anti-fat attitudes, experience or witness bullying of people based solely on their size and am well aware of the different ways in which fat people face discrimination in various settings (from education to employment to healthcare). You only have to look at the comments section on a positive article about a fat person within the mainstream media to see these anti-fat attitudes in practice. View Post

16 Plus Size Style Bloggers To Follow in 2016
It’s undeniable – the world of blogging is becoming more and more popular, and with plus size fashion largely relegated to online stores, it should come as no surprise that the ranks of plus size style bloggers are growing. Here are some of my favourite plus size style bloggers to follow at the moment, just to get you started:
Say goodbye to chub rub
I’m going to be blunt – chub rub sucks. There is nothing glam about chafing, which can be the bane of summer. It doesn’t matter if you’re fat, thin or somewhere in between, chub rub can happen to people of any size – it’s when your thighs rub together when you walk, causing friction. It sucks so much that every year when summer rolls around I get people asking me about how to avoid chafing. I decided to take one for the team and try out some solutions to help you say goodbye to chub rub. View Post
New Year’s Resolutions 2016
January 1st. The day when people wake up and swear they’re never drinking again, make New Year’s resolutions to drink more green smoothies and eat less sugar, or vow that they’re going to lose weight and “be healthy”, right? Nope I’m not going to pay for a gym membership I’ll only use for a month, only eat kale and quinoa, run until I spew or try yet another ridiculous diet in an attempt to starve my body and be slim. Fuck that. My goals for 2016 are all about making more time for myself and living a fabulous life. View Post
