I just spent an amazing weekend in Wellington (which is the capital city of New Zealand, for all of my overseas readers who don’t know much about the country I live in), where I got to celebrate plus size fashion, meet some great new people, catch up with old friends, eat delicious food, attend Wellington Fashion Week and photograph some gorgeous women for my Fat Girls Shouldn’t Wear Stripes project. More about that later though – first I wanted to share this outfit with you because I am so in love with this skirt! View Post
Aussie Curves: Pattern Clash
Let’s just preface this by saying that patterns aren’t really my jam. Especially clashing patterns. The extent of my pattern love is stripes and spots … and my bird dress!
WIWT: Hope & Harvest Knot Dress
If you follow me on instagram, you’ll know that I went to The Very Vintage Day Out over the weekend. I was umming and ahhing about what I was going to wear for weeks beforehand, and then on Friday night a parcel arrived from Hope & Harvest.
Aussie Curves: Green

I think an important part of the body positive journey is wearing clothes that make you feel fabulous – at least, it has been a very important part of my journey. I find it nearly impossible to feel bad about myself and my body if I am wearing a kick ass outfit, one that I love, that I feel good in and that I believe looks good on me.
My favourite style at the moment is retro inspired – tops and full swings skirts or dresses that nip in at the waist, all worn with layers of petticoats underneath. It is a style that I feel fantastic in, and thankfully there are a number of companies out there at the moment that are providing retro reproductions (designs inspired by true vintage but in modern fabrics and colours) in plus sizes.
